Unlabelled: Growing evidence suggests that dietary herbs can prevent stroke by regulating the composition and structure of gut microbiota. The components of dietary herbs can also be metabolized or converted into bioactive molecules for treating stroke by gut microbiota, and exert therapeutic effects by inhibiting inflammation, oxidative stress, apoptosis, and other processes caused by stroke. A deep understanding of the mechanism of gut microbiota-mediated dietary herbal intervention in stroke is of great significance for the treatment and drug screening of stroke diseases.

The two obstacles for treating glioma are the skull and the blood brain-barrier (BBB), the first of which forms a physical shield that increases the difficulties of traditional surgery or radiotherapy, while the latter prevents antitumor drugs reaching tumor sites. To conquer these issues, we take advantage of the high penetrating ability of sonodynamic therapy (SDT), combined with a novel nanocomplex that can easily pass the BBB. Through ultrasonic polymerization, the amphiphilic peptides (CGRRGDS) were self-assembled as a spherical shell encapsulating a sonosensitizer Rose Bengal (RB) and a plant-derived compound, sulforaphane (SFN), to form the nanocomplex SFN@RB@SPM.

The integration of a photosensitive gate into an organic electrochemical transistor has currently emerged as a promising route for biological sensing. However, the modification of the photosensitive gate always involves complex processes, and the degradation of sensitivity of the functional materials under illumination will significantly decrease the stability of the devices. Herein, we designed an organic photoelectrochemical transistor (OPECT) biosensor employing horseradish peroxidase (HRP)@glucose oxidase (GOx)/Pt/n-Si as the photosensitive gate based on the "shadow effect".
