- Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death globally, and this study examines the differences in risk factors between rural and urban populations in eastern Croatia.
- A cross-sectional study with 280 participants revealed that rural participants had higher rates of arterial hypertension and obesity-related metrics, whereas urban participants reported more insufficient physical activity.
- Overall, the findings indicate that rural residents face greater cardiovascular health risks compared to their urban counterparts.
