Background/aim: To evaluate whether there is a relationship between serum myosin-binding protein C (MyBP-C) levels measured in the first trimester and the timing of delivery, and, if a relationship is detected, the potential of this relationship in distinguishing between preterm and term labor.
Materials And Methods: This prospective case-control study was conducted with 701 pregnant women who applied to the Obstetrics Outpatient Clinic of Gaziosmanpaşa Training and Research Hospital in the first trimester, between 11 and 14 gestational weeks. MyBP-C serum samples from the first trimester were stored under appropriate conditions until the time of delivery.
: This study aims to compare the neuromuscular structure of the vagina in women with posterior vaginal wall prolapse with the neuromuscular structure of the vagina in women without prolapse, to determine the difference, and to demonstrate the role of neuromuscular structure in the physiopathology of prolapse. : In this prospective study, women aged between 40 and 75 years who had not undergone any vaginal surgery and had not undergone any abdominal prolapse surgery were included. Thirty-one women diagnosed with rectocele on examination were included in the study group.

Methods: Twenty-five female rats were randomized into four groups. Group 1 was administered a subcutaneous dose of 0.
Objectives: We investigated the potential of glutathione to protect ovarian function in rats exposed to cyclophosphamide by measuring serum anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) levels, follicle counts, and related parameters.
Design: Forty-two adult female Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into six groups and treated with various combinations of cyclophosphamide, glutathione, and sodium chloride. On day 21, the rats were anesthetized, and their ovaries were removed for examination.
Introduction: Concerning contemporary fertilisation (IVF) practice, the use of frozen embryo transfer (FET) cycles has become more common than fresh transfers. Natural cycle (NC), programmed artificial cycle and mild stimulation cycle are primary endometrium preparation cycles. Monitoring serum progesterone levels in FET cycles are in the scope of current research focus.

Aim: To determine whether there was a significant difference between serum endocan levels of pregnant women with and without gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).
Methods: A total of 90 pregnant women, 45 with gestational diabetes and 45 healthy pregnant women, between 24 and 28 gestational weeks, were included in this prospective case-control study. The pregnant women were screened for gestational diabetes using a two-step protocol.
Objective: To determine the existence of SARS-CoV-2 in the peritoneal fluid to assess the risk of exposure through surgical smoke and aerosolization threatening healthcare workers during abdominal surgery.
Background: SARS-CoV-2 is a respiratory virus and possible ways of viral transmission are respiratory droplets, close contact, and fecal-oral route. Surgeries pose risk for healthcare workers due to the close contact with patients.
To search whether or not the severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) vaccine affects the fertility of women at the 6th months by using AMH, which is an ovarian reserve test. Our study, designed as a prospective case-control study, included 104 women who presented to the GOP EAH obstetrics and gynecology outpatient clinic in January and February 2022. The study group included 74 women who presented to the outpatient clinic and planned to be vaccinated and 30 women who refused to be vaccinated as the control group.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study analyzing the data of patients who underwent elective gynecologic oncology surgery between 2010 and 2017. The demographic data; comorbidities; preoperative anemia; Charlson Comorbidity Index; anesthesia management; complications; preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative periods; mortality; and morbidity were investigated.
Objective: To assess the effect of cabergoline on endometrial vascular endothelial growth factor receptor-2 (VEGFR-2) immunoexpression in an ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) rat model.
Material And Methods: Twenty-one immature female Wistar rats were assigned into three groups: group 1, the control group; group 2, stimulated with gonadotropins to mimic OHSS; and group 3, in which an OHSS protocol was induced and thereafter treated with cabergoline (100 μg/kg/day). Body weight, ovarian volume, corpora lutea numbers, and endometrial VEGFR-2 expression were compared between the groups.
Objective: To investigate the role of intrapartum ultrasound (IU) in the diagnosis of asynclitism and the importance of asynclitism degree in labor outcomes.
Method: This prospective cohort study included 41 low-risk pregnant women with fetus in singleton-vertex. The IU assessment to diagnose asynclitism was performed during labor at two specific steps, including the suspicion and/or diagnosis of labor arrest.
Objective: To determine the cut-off values of the serum anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) concentration for different age groups (21-25, 26-30, 31-35 years) to diagnose polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Methods: In total, 187 women aged 21-35 years were included in this descriptive study. Patients diagnosed with PCOS according to the Rotterdam Criteria formed the PCOS group ( = 93), whereas those without symptoms related to PCOS formed the control group ( = 94).
Congenital leptin deficiency is a rare congenital genetic disease. It is characterized by early-onset, severe morbid obesity. The disease occurs due to mutations in the LEP gene.

In addition, there is no universally acknowledged approach toward ovarian stimulation in patients with multiple sclerosis. This report describes two patients at a large tertiary university hospital who underwent an in-vitro maturation protocol in order to avoid a risk of exacerbating their multiple sclerosis by ovarian stimulation.

To investigate maternal serum levels of betatrophin and their relationship with total bile acid (TBA) levels in patients with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP). Fifty-nine pregnant women with ICP (31 patients with severe and 28 patients with mild disease classifications) and 23 healthy women with uncomplicated pregnancies as the control group included the study. The maternal betatrophin, fasting blood glucose, fasting insulin (FI), and homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) levels of the groups were compared.

Objective: The association between serum betatrophin levels and hyperemesis gravidarum (HEG) remains unknown. The aim of this study was to determine and understand the alterations in serum betatrophin levels in pregnancies complicated by HEG compared with unaffected normal pregnancies.
Study Design: A cohort study was carried out to evaluate serum betatrophin levels in patients with HEG.
Introduction: This study aimed to investigate the influence of obesity on pregnancy complications and neonatal outcomes in diabetic and nondiabetic women.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective case control study was conducted on 1193 pregnant women and their neonates at a tertiary level maternity hospital between March 2007 and 2011. The pregnant women were classified into 2 groups according to the presence of diabetes mellitus.
Objectives: Multiple pregnancies are known to be associated with adverse maternal and perinatal complications. How-ever, data regarding the outcomes of spontaneously reduced twin pregnancies are limited. In the current study we aimed to evaluate the consequences of the vanishing twin syndrome (VTS) in dichorionic diamniotic twin pregnancies for both mother and baby in our perinatal center.

Therefore, in the current study, we tested the hypothesis that suggests women with hyperemesis gravidarum have lower 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels and higher hs-CRP levels, compared to controls.
Materials And Methods: This prospective case-control study included 30 women with hyperemesis gravidarum (study group) and 30 age- and body mass index-matched healthy women (control group).
