Background: Postpartum Length of hospital stay (PLOHS) is an essential indicator of the quality of maternal and perinatal healthcare services. Identifying the factors associated with PLOHS will inform targeted interventions to reduce unnecessary hospitalisations and improve patient outcomes after childbirth. Background: Maternal mortality is unacceptably high especially in developing countries. About 287,000 women died during and following pregnancy and childbirth in 2020. The vast majority of these deaths (95 %) occurred in low and lower middle countries in 2020 and most could have been prevented.
