Background: Postpartum Length of hospital stay (PLOHS) is an essential indicator of the quality of maternal and perinatal healthcare services. Background: Maternal mortality is unacceptably high especially in developing countries. About 287,000 women died during and following pregnancy and childbirth in 2020. The vast majority of these deaths (95 %) occurred in low and lower middle countries in 2020 and most could have been prevented.
