A Case Study of Developing a Narrative Group Intervention to Address the Impact of Anti-Asian Racism.

The authors present a case study on the development of an anti-Asian racism support group titled, The study covers the formation and conceptualization process and formative feedback garnered from a field test of the intervention. The group grew out of the need for not only interventions to support individuals of Asian ancestral heritage in dealing with the ongoing effects of racism in North America, but also out of a need to provide culturally relevant counseling processes for and by members of the Asian diaspora in North America. Community-engaged scholarship formed the foundation for the intervention formation and subsequent delivery of the online field test version of the program.

The development of a dyadic family life review intervention for the Asian diaspora: A practice article.

Intergenerational family conflict is a commonly identified issue in the Asian diaspora; however, there are limited interventions designed to address this concern. Given this gap in the literature, the authors present a practice article outlining the conceptualization, development, and delivery of a dyadic life review intervention called (Re)Cultivating Family Stories (RFS). RFS is a clinician-facilitated family intervention designed to promote connection and foster successive communication through the joint activity of developing a family story.

Slaughtering sacred cows: six institutional obstacles to advances in family planning.

In order to capitalise on new opportunities to advance contraceptive and reproductive health choices globally, organisations working in these fields will need to overcome six institutional obstacles. These are: (i) committee management; (ii) over-medicalisation; (iii) fear of risk and controversy; (iv) conferences, meetings, and symposia; (v) obsession with coordination; and (vi) fear of sex. The reproductive health community will require energy, innovative approaches, and a sharp focus on service delivery to address these hurdles that will otherwise slow down and misdirect programmatic momentum.
