Medullary thyroid cancer (MTC) is a rare malignancy originating from the calcitonin-producing C cells of the thyroid. Despite recent therapeutic advances, metastatic MTC remains incurable. Adoptive cell therapy (ACT) using genetically engineered T cells targeting either tissue-restricted tumor-associated antigens or mutated neoantigens has led to durable remissions in other metastatic solid tumors.
