Generally, extraction is performed ipsilaterally at the entry site. In certain cases, the extraction can be performed contralaterally through the inner end of the foreign body; however, this requires special consideration.

Additionally, these methods may change the natural smoking behavior of individuals. Our long term objective is the development of a wearable non-invasive monitoring system (Personal Automatic Cigarette Tracker - PACT) to reliably monitor cigarette smoking behavior under free living conditions.

Thirty-six subjects with diagnosed multiple disabilities and severe and profound mental retardation were evaluated by two experienced occupational therapists. Reliability was established by means of the intraclass correlation approach, and results indicated that coefficients ranged from .

Rats given equivalent doses of ethanol after practice did not develop tolerance, nor did saline-treated controls.

The instrument is used in this investigation to study the formation of antigen-antibody complexes by light scattering and turbidimetric measurements, and to develop assays for human immunoglobulins G, A, and M. Concentrations are calculated from a nonlinear least-squares fit of calibrators, and antigen excess is automatically detected from kinetic curve characteristics.

A simple expression is derived that contains terms for photometric error, timing uncertainty, temperature-control error, sample and reagent volume errors, and pathlength error. This error expression was developed in general to provide a simple means of evaluating the magnitude of random error in an analytical system and in particular to provide an error evaluation protocol for the assessment of the error components in a prototype Miniature Centrifugal Analyzer system.
