Ventral hernias represent a prevalent surgical complication in contemporary medical practice, with incisional hernias being a common long-term outcome following abdominal surgery. There are many risk factors for abdominal incisional hernias, including surgical history, malnutrition, obesity, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, abdominal closure technique, and surgical site infection. Laparoscopic repair of incisional hernias is the optimal surgical approach, as it is associated with reduced hospital stays, fewer perioperative complications, and lower recurrence rates.

Background: Frailty is associated with poor health outcomes in elderly population. However, its effect on midterm outcomes in elderly patients undergoing primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) remains unknown.
Aims: This study aimed to evaluate the association between frailty, as classified by the Clinical Frailty Scale (CFS), and midterm adverse outcomes in elderly STEMI patients after primary PCI.
Introduction: Esophageal leiomyoma is a rare disease, most of which are benign, and endoscopic tumor removal surgery is a widely accepted treatment method. The two surgical approaches, laparoscopic and thoracoscopic, must be selected and applied according to the tumor size and location. The study aimed to evaluate the results, feasibility, and appropriate approach of minimally invasive surgery to treat esophageal leiomyoma.

It is found in southern Vietnam, where it occurs at an elevation of 1400-1500 m in Voi Mountain, Duc Trong District, Lam Dong Province. This new species is distinguished from a similar species, , by culm nodes with a thick swollen patella, culm leaf blades erect, auricles conspicuous, margins bearing long hairs, palea dorsal view showing rachilla extension and rudimentary floret at the apex and lodicules purple gradually towards the top.

This study aimed to investigate these associations using a meta-analysis of observational studies. In the meta-analysis of seven case-control studies, we found no association between the use of underarm antiperspirants or deodorants and the risk of breast cancer (OR = 0.

The preoperative diagnosis of obturator hernia is particularly challenging due to its vague clinical manifestations. The clinical picture consists of intestinal blockage, abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting.

The resultant AgNPs were first assayed for the catalytic H evolution in an acidic electrolyte, namely pH 0.3 HSO solution, showing negligible activity.

PFAS monitoring in groundwater is limited and fails to consider pesticides found to contain PFAS as a potential contamination source. Given previous findings on the disproportionate exposure of communities of Color to both pesticides and PFAS, we investigated disparities in PFAS-contaminated pesticide applications in California based on community-level sociodemographic characteristics.

Professional activities of the CCP are outlined in a 2020 position paper on critical care pharmacy services. This study looks to characterize CCP perspectives for priorities in optimizing pharmacy practice models and professional activities.

Therefore, this study was undertaken to investigate the impact of dioxin exposure on white matter microstructure in men living in the most severely dioxin-contaminated areas in Vietnam.
Methods: In 2019 brain MRI scans from 28 men living near Bien Hoa airbase were obtained at Dong Nai General Hospital, Vietnam, on a 3 T scanner using a conventional diffusion tensor imaging sequence.
This study is focused on investigating the chemical composition and bioactive properties of the essential oil extracted from L., a plant species known for its medicinal properties. Utilising gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis, the essential oil from was found to contain 53 distinct constituents.

In this work, we present the biomimetic integration of polythiophene into chitosan nanofibrils in a twisted Bouligand structure to afford free-standing macroscopic composite membranes with electrochemical functionality. By considering the integrity of the Bouligand structure in crab shells, we can produce large, free-standing chitosan nanofibril membranes with iridescent colors and flexible toughness.

Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have captured the imagination of researchers for their highly tunable properties and many potential applications, including as catalysts for a variety of transformations. Even though MOFs possess significant potential, the challenges associated with processing of these crystalline powders into usable form factors while retaining their functional properties limit their end use applications. Herein, we introduce a new approach to construct MOF-polymer composites via 3D photoprinting to overcome these limitations.

Materials And Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 104 individuals (52 males and 52 females), aged 36-93 years old. Fasting blood glucose (FBG), HbA1c, and serum fructosamine were measured simultaneously.
Purpose: is a commensal bacteria species that can cause various illnesses, from mild skin infections to severe diseases, such as bacteremia. The distribution and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) pattern of varies by population, time, geographic location, and hospital wards. In this study, we elucidated the epidemiology and AMR patterns of isolated from a general hospital in Vietnam.

Nowadays, innovations in invasive and noninvasive coronary evaluation using multimodal imaging provide options for the diagnosis of CMD. The objective of the present study was to investigate if new multimodal imaging diagnosis of CMD could detect HCM patients with more impaired cardiac function by left atrioventricular coupling index (LACI).

Exposure levels were indicated by 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dibenzodioxin (TCDD) and toxic equivalent of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxin and polychlorinated dibenzofuran (TEQ-PCDD/Fs) levels in maternal breast milk. The percentage of the total fixation duration on the face (% Face), mouth (% Mouth), and eye areas (% Eyes) when viewing silent and conversation scenes was used as gaze behavior indices.
