Article Synopsis
  • - The paper presents a method for autonomous greenhouse navigation that utilizes fuzzy control and a deep learning model to classify diseases in tomato plants using leaf images.
  • - A key innovation in the study is an upgraded Deep Convolutional Generative Adversarial Network (DCGAN), which generates synthetic images of diseased leaves to expand the training dataset.
  • - After comparing four deep learning architectures, the ResNet-152 model achieved a high accuracy of 99.69% with the augmented dataset, showing significant performance improvement and potential for broader applications in intelligent agriculture.

Flagellin, the TLR5 agonist, shows potent adjuvant activities in diverse vaccines and immunotherapies. Vibrio vulnificus flagellin B expressed in eukaryotic cells (eFlaB) could not stimulate TLR5 signaling. Enzymatic deglycosylation restored eFlaB's TLR5 stimulating functionality, suggesting that glycosylation interferes with eFlaB binding to TLR5.

Baeyer-Villiger monooxygenase (BVMO) catalyzes insertion of an oxygen atom into aliphatic or cyclic ketones with high regioselectivity. The BVMOs from Parvibaculum lavamentivorans (BVMO) and Oceanicola batsensis (BVMO) are interesting because of their homologies, with >40% sequence identity, and reaction with the same cyclic ketones with a methyl moiety to give different products. The revealed BVMO structure shows that BVMO forms a two-domain structure like other BVMOs.
