A histologic study of the tendons of hypoplastic fingers before and after the restoration of their length by the method of distraction has been performed in 37 children aged 1 to 14 years. It has been established that in congenital defects of development of the hand the tendons of the hypoplastic fingers have an organotypical structure differing only in thinning of the facieles of ascending order. In the process of distraction of the rudiments of the hypoplastic fingers there is lengthening of the tendons with violation of the specialized structures.
