The biliary system is crucial for liver function, regulating bile production, secretion, and transport. Dysfunctions within this system can lead to various diseases, such as cholangiopathies and biliary fibrosis, which may progress from benign to malignant states like cholangiocarcinoma. While liver organoid research is well-established and technologically advanced, bile duct organoids (BDOs) offer significant potential.

Residual dipolar coupling (RDC) not only contributes to the dynamic analysis of proteins but also provides a robust route for the structure determination of small organic compounds. An essential prerequisite for this methodology is the availability of alignment media. Herein, a series of novel peptide-based alignment media are generated by introducing D-type or halogen-bearing amino acids for RDC measurements.

We propose a rectangular column two-dimensional square lattice photonic crystal to realize zero refractive index. Through analysis of the energy band structure of the photonic crystal structure, the lattice constant and side length of the rectangular columns can be optimized, and the Dirac cone dispersion appears at the center of the Brillouin zone. The Dirac cone is formed by the interaction of a monopolar eigenstate and a dipolar eigenstate to form a triple accidental degenerate state.
