Straw return and tillage depth treatments are one of the most important agricultural management measures that affect farmland soil respiration, but the mechanism of their interaction affecting farmland soil respiration remains unclear. Therefore, 116 published research articles were used through Meta-analysis technology for dryland farmland ecosystems in China to explore the effects of straw return and tillage depth treatments and their interaction on farmland soil respiration and its regulatory factors, which will provide important data support and a theoretical basis for achieving "carbon neutrality" in farmland ecosystems. Bound states in the continuum (BICs) are counterintuitive localized states with eigenvalues embedded in the continuum of extended states. Recently, nontrivial band topology is exploited to enrich the BIC physics, resulting in topological BICs (TBICs) with extraordinary robustness against perturbations or disorders. In the presence of gauge symmetry, common but not limited to artificial crystals, the algebraic structure of crystalline symmetries needs to be projectively represented, giving rise to unprecedented topological physics. Here, we demonstrate this novel idea by exploiting a projective translation symmetry and constructing a variety of Möbius-twisted topological phases. Experimentally, we realize two Möbius insulators in acoustic crystals for the first time: a two-dimensional one of first-order band topology and a three-dimensional one of higher-order band topology.

Butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) activity is an important index for a variety of diseases. In this work, a "turn-on" assay is proposed based on controlling the inner filter effect (IFE) of MnO nanosheets (NSs) on sulfur nanodots (S-dots). The fluorescence of S-dots is effectively quenched by the MnO NSs, due to the wide overlap of the emission spectrum of S-dots and absorption spectrum of MnO NSs, together with the superior light absorption capability of MnO NSs.

An H O -assisted top-down approach is used to synthesize brightly luminescent, color-tunable sulfur quantum dots (SQDs), with a photoluminescence quantum yield of up to 23 %. The formation of SQDs involves dissolution of bulk sulfur powder into small particles in an alkaline environment in the presence of polyethylene glycol, followed by H O -assisted etching of polysulfide species, which has the advantage of the passivation of surface states. This synthetic strategy allows us to simultaneously control the final size of SQDs, to tune their emission color, and to improve their emission quantum yield by eliminating surface traps.

Visually observable pH-responsive luminescent materials are developed by integrating the properties of aggregation-induced emission enhancement of Cu nanoclusters (NCs) and the Ca-triggered gelatin of alginate. Sodium alginate, CaCO nanoparticles, and Cu NCs are dispersed in aqueous solution, which is in a transparent fluid state, showing weak photoluminescence (PL). The introduced H can react with the CaCO nanoparticles to produce free Ca, which can cross-link the alginate chains into gel networks.

Herein, highly luminescent metal nanoclusters (NCs) are synthesized using a ligand-assisted reduction and reprecipitation process.
