Chiral luminescent liquid crystal (LC) materials with switchable circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) signals have received extensive attention, in which the use of light stimulation to achieve different CPL states is of great significance. However, there are very few reports on the generation and regulation of CPL signals enabled by blue phase LC (BPLC). Herein, achieving CPL signal inversion based on the phase transition induced by light/temperature stimulation in a BPLC system with a wide room-temperature window is reported.

Introduction: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a pressing global issue, with Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection remaining the primary. Emodin, an anthraquinone compound extracted from the natural plant's. This study investigates the molecular targets and possible mechanisms of emodin in treating HBV-related HCC based on network pharmacology and molecular docking and validates the screened molecular targets through experiments.

Then, an artificial light-harvesting system (ALHS) used in extremely cold environments was successfully constructed by mixing fluorescent dyes sulphorhodamine101 (SR101) and rhodamine 6G (R6G) into them as acceptors.

Background And Aims: Acute severe ulcerative colitis (ASUC) is strongly associated with poor prognosis. We aimed to establish and validate a model predicting ASUC occurrence within 1 year after ulcerative colitis(UC) diagnosis.
Methods: A cohort of UC patients diagnosed between 2018 and 2020 at Northern Jiangsu People's Hospital, who were followed up for one year, was used to develop a risk prediction model.
We would like to submit the manuscript entitled "Unexpected Cause of Chronic Recurrent Abdominal Pain: Mesenteric Arteriovenous Dysplasia/Vasculopathy" for publication in REED. Mesenteric arteriovenous dysplasia/vasculopathy (MAVD/V) MAVD/V is a rare, localized, noninflammatory, non-atherosclerotic form of mesenteric vasculopathy that involves both arteries and veins producing secondary ischemic changes and alterations in the intestinal mucosa. It was proposed for the first time in 2016.

Various metal ions were introduced into a solution of a bi-benzimidazole compound (P) in ethylene glycol, and P exhibited high selectivity toward Al, as indicated by the noticeable red shift (49 nm) observed in the fluorescence spectra of P after the addition of Al. Interestingly, the gelator, P, could self-assemble into a stable supramolecular gel (P-gel) that exhibits strong aggregation-induced emission in ethylene glycol.

Al was introduced into a solution of an acylhydrazone compound (L) in DMSO or DMF to form the L-Al assembly. After adding Al to the L solution, a noticeable blue shift appeared in the fluorescence spectra of L.

A stable polymer organogel was obtained in DMSO by a simple esterification reaction. This organogel showed high mechanical performance, flexibility, high elasticity, luminous performance and conductivity, as well as high potential values for application in the energy sector.

Investigations have been conducted on the relationship between NSAIDs (aspirin and nonaspirin NSAIDs) and the risk of HCC incidence. We searched the PubMed, Web of Science, Embase and Cochrane Library databases for cohort studies published prior to 15 March 2020 and screened eligible studies.

Anthropogenic warming and ocean acidification are predicted to negatively affect marine calcifiers. While negative effects of these stressors on physiology and shell calcification have been documented in many species, their effects on shell mineralogical composition remains poorly known, especially over longer time periods. Here, we quantify changes in the shell mineralogy of a foundation species, , under 60 y of ocean warming and acidification.

In this study, we conducted a cross-sectional survey in 10 villages located along the Lalin River in northeast China.
