Objective: This study aims to report a case of a patient with complete lumbarization (Castellvi-IB) who developed symptomatic calcified disc herniations at L5S1 and lumbarized S1-2 levels and achieved excellent neurological recovery following percutaneous endoscopic interlaminar discectomy (PEID).
Summary Of Background Data: In 1984, Castellvi et al. classified lumbosacral transitional vertebra (LSTV) into four types.
Study Design: A retrospective case report.
Objective: To report a case who developed deteriorated paraplegia by spontaneous spinal epidural hematoma (SSEH) based on calcification of the ligamentum flavum (CLF) at the T10-11 level, achieved full neurological recovery following posterior percutaneous endoscopic surgery (PPES).
Summary Of Background Data: CLF rarely occurs at the thoracic spine, and the symptom usually progress slowly.
Background: Previous research and published literature indicate that some patients with spinal diseases who underwent percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic decompression (PTED) still suffer some discomfort in the early recovery stage in the form of pain, stiffness, and swelling. These are usually considered minor residual symptoms or normal postoperative phenomenon (NPF) in the clinic, occur frequently, and are acknowledged by surgeons worldwide. To the best of our knowledge, we report the first case of a patient who had an osteoporotic vertebral fracture (OVF) misdiagnosed as NPF after she underwent PTED as a result of lumbar disc herniation (LDH).

However, recent studies found that AP-LPR might not be sufficient to detect or classify MA-LSTV correctly. The present study aims to verify the reliability of AP-LPR on detecting and classifying MA-LSTV types, taking coronal reconstructed CT images (CT-CRIs) as the gold criteria.

However, the property of ADSC to accommodate immune system is still unknown. In this study, ADSC were cocultured with allogenetic dendritic cells (DC), and then treated DC were mixed with allogenetic CD4+ T cells.

Objective: To study the clinical application of Mobi-C prosthesis in treatment of anterior cervical discectomy and artificial disc replacement (ADR).
Methods: Between January 2009 and June 2009, 20 cases of degenerative cervical disease were treated with anterior discectomy and ADR by Mobi-C prosthesis, including 13 cases of cervical disc herniation and 7 cases of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy, and 25 Mobi-C prosthesis were implanted. There were 8 males and 12 females, aged 29-54 years (mean, 45.
Objective: To explore the therapeutic efficacy and safety of batroxobin in patients with primary hepatic carcinoma (PHC) and the advantages of transcatheter arterial perfusion of batroxobin combined with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE).
Methods: 40 patients with PHC were randomized into experimental group (transcatheter arterial perfusion of batroxobin combined with TACE treatment, 20 patients) and control group (TACE alone group, 20 patients). The patients were followed up and the data were recorded, compared and analyzed.
Objective: To evaluate the exploratory development of bone graft by titanium mesh with bone allograft in treatment of cervical spinal tuberculosis.
Methods: Thirty two cases of cervical spinal tuberculosis treated with anterior radical debridement, decompression and inter fixation from January 2002 to January 2007 were included (at least two years follow-up). 18 male and 14 female, age from 18 to 72, mean 41.

Objective: To study the clinical application of anchoring cervical intervertebral fusion cage (ACIFC) in anterior cervical discectomy with fusion.
Methods: From November 2006 to June 2007, 21 cases of degenerative cervical disease were treated with anterior cervical discectomy, bone graft by ACIFC and anchoring stators, and 28 ACIFCs were implanted. There were 12 males and 9 females aged 25-68 years old (average 47.
Background: A retrospective study of staged surgery for severe rigid scoliosis. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the result of staged surgery in treatment of severe rigid scoliosis and to discuss the indications.
Methods: From 1998 to 2006, 21 cases of severe rigid scoliosis with coronal Cobb angle more than 80 degrees were treated by staged surgeries including anterior release and halo-pelvic traction as first stage surgery and posterior instrumentation and spinal fusion as second stage.
Objective: To discuss the prevention and management of the neurological complications during treatment for severe scoliosis.
Methods: Seventy-one patients with the coronal Cobb angle more than 80 degrees underwent operation. The average coronal Cobb angle was 96.
