Exploration of Genes Related to Intramuscular Fat Deposition in Xinjiang Brown Cattle.

The aim of this study was to investigate the differentially expressed genes associated with intramuscular fat deposition in the longissimus dorsi muscle of Xinjiang Brown Bulls. The longissimus dorsi muscles of 10 Xinjiang Brown Bulls were selected under the same feeding conditions. The intramuscular fat content of muscle samples was determined by the Soxhlet extraction method, for which 5 samples with high intramuscular fat content (HIMF group) and 5 samples with low intramuscular fat content (LIMF group) were selected.

The affective factors of depression symptoms in hypertensive patients and the protective effect of physical activity.

Objective: To investigate the potential affective factors of depressive symptoms in patients with hypertension and explore the protective effects of physical activity.

Methods: 211 hypertensive patients aged over 18 years were consecutively recruited. All patients completed a self-designed questionnaire and the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) to assess the coexistence of depressive symptoms, and psychiatrists were invited to diagnose depression when necessary.

Background: Breeding polled goats is a welfare-friendly approach for horn removal in comparison to invasive methods. To gain a comprehensive understanding of the genetic basis underlying polledness in goats, we conducted whole-genome sequencing of 106 Xinong Saanen dairy goats, including 33 horned individuals, 70 polled individuals, and 3 polled intersexuality syndrome (PIS) individuals.

Methods: The present study employed a genome-wide association study (GWAS) and linkage disequilibrium (LD) analysis to precisely map the genetic locus underlying the polled phenotype in goats.

Herein, we explored the mode of myometrial invasion diagnosis in FIGO stage I non-endometrioid carcinoma and evaluated the differences in diagnostic efficiency among intraoperative frozen section (IFS), intraoperative gross examination (IGE), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and computed tomography (CT) in clinical practice. The cystic fluid of these children was collected as the case group and the corresponding infected viscera or pericystic tissue as the control group, with 40 cases in each group.

Therefore, we selected intervention counties from Xinjiang, an underdeveloped region in China, and introduced antihypertensive treatment algorithm, comprising locally available and affordable agents, to primary health providers since 1998.
