Effect of Hyperbaric Oxygen on Tissue Damage and Expression of Adhesion Molecules and C3 in a Rat Model of Renal Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury After Kidney Transplantation.

BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to investigate the protective effect and mechanism of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) in a rat model of renal ischemia-reperfusion injury following kidney transplantation. MATERIAL AND METHODS Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into 3 groups (n=18): sham group, kidney transplantation group, and HBO treatment group. Six rats in each group were sacrificed at 1, 3, and 5 hours after reperfusion, and serum and renal tissue were then collected.

The effect of perirenal puncture and drainage with urokinase treatment of perirenal hematoma complicated by infection: Two cases' report.

The aim of this study was to discuss the clinical significance of perirenal puncture and drainage with urokinase treatment of perirenal hematoma complicated by infection following surgery for upper urinary tract calculi. Two cases of perirenal hematoma complicated by infection following surgery for upper urinary tract calculi in 2017, and later received perirenal puncture and drainage of perirenal hematoma with urokinase treatment were selected. Puncture and drainage of perirenal hematoma with urokinase treatment were performed without the occurrence of severe complications such as sepsis, septic shock, or secondary bleeding.

Scrotal Paragonimiasis in adults: Two case reports and review of literature.

Rationale: Paragonimiasis is a parasitic disease caused by Paragonimus in the lungs; it can be divided into intrapulmonary type and extrapulmonary type. Adult patients with scrotal paragnonimus are rarely seen clinically and not widely reported in the literature. Here, we report 2 cases of scrotal paragonimiasis in adults and their treatment process.

Pedigree analysis, diagnosis and treatment in Von Hippel-Lindau syndrome: A report of three cases.

The objective of the present study was to systematically investigate the clinical features, diagnosis and therapeutic treatment of Von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) syndrome in order to improve understanding of this disease. A total of 3 cases of VHL syndrome treated at the Affiliated Hospital of Zunyi Medical College (Zunyi, China) between September 2014 and October 2015 were retrospectively analyzed. The associated literature was reviewed, and the diagnostic and therapeutic features were discussed.

[The catalase inhibitor aminotriazole alleviates acute alcoholic liver injury].

In this study, the effects of catalase (CAT) inhibitor aminotriazole (ATZ) on alcohol-induced acute liver injury were investigated to explore the potential roles of CAT in alcoholic liver injury. Acute liver injury was induced by intraperitoneal injection of alcohol in Sprague Dawley (SD) rats, and various doses of ATZ (100-400 mg/kg) or vehicle were administered intraperitoneally at 30 min before alcohol exposure. After 24 h of alcohol exposure, the levels of aspartate transaminase (AST), alanine transaminase (ALT) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) in plasma were determined.

Three-dimensional identification of microorganisms using a digital holographic microscope.

This paper reports a method for three-dimensional (3D) analysis of shift-invariant pattern recognition and applies to holographic images digitally reconstructed from holographic microscopes. It is shown that the sequential application of a 2D filter to the plane-by-plane reconstruction of an optical field is exactly equivalent to the application of a more general filter with a 3D impulse response. We show that any 3D filters with arbitrary impulse response can be implemented in this way.
