With the rapid advancement of information and communication technologies, smart tourism has become a crucial means for improving the quality of tourism services and enhancing economic efficiency in the tourism sector. This work proposes an analysis method based on the artificial neural network to predict tourist behavior patterns through big data analysis, thereby optimizing the allocation of tourism resources. The work begins by collecting various data types, including basic visitor information, consumption records, and satisfaction evaluations, from a well-known smart tourism destination as research samples.

Background: Improving pathological complete response (pCR) rate is currently the main goal of neoadjuvant therapy for locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (LA-ESCC). However, improved pCR rates do not consistently translate into better prognosis, likely due to regimen-specific pCR heterogeneity. We investigated this heterogeneity and potential biomarkers between two common neoadjuvant regimens.

Background: Immunotherapy combined with chemotherapy has shown good results in the treatment of extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC), but there are fewer clinical studies on elderly ES-SCLC patients. This study was aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of immunotherapy in combination with chemotherapy in elderly patients with ES-SCLC.

Methods: Elderly patients with ES-SCLC who were 70 years of age or older and were diagnosed at Shandong Cancer Hospital from May 20, 2020, to February 24, 2023, were included in this study.

β-Lactoglobulin (BLG) is an allergen present in milk that can induce an acute immune response in certain individuals. The successful use of cytosine base editors (CBEs) can introduce stop codons into premature mRNA, thereby generating animals with disrupted genes that negatively regulate target traits. In this study, we employed a CBE system to target the major milk allergen BLG in bovine embryos, mammary epithelial cells, and live cattle.

Background: Hepatectomy is the primary treatment for regional hepatolithiasis, but recurrence rates range from 10 to 20%, often necessitating repeat surgery. Although laparoscopic hepatectomy has been widely adopted for recurrent hepatocellular carcinoma, its use in recurrent hepatolithiasis remains limited due to technical challenges, including severe adhesions, anatomical distortions, and increased risks of complications. No large-scale study has compared laparoscopic and open repeat hepatectomy for recurrent regional hepatolithiasis.

Background: Almost 90% of head and neck malignancies are malignant squamous cell cancers, making it the sixth most common malignancy in the developing countries, with an overall five-year overall survival rate about 40%-50%. Early diagnosis and treatment can bring a better prognosis. Fibroblast growth factor (FGF) is an important polypeptide in vivo.

This study developed soybean 7S globulin-debranched starch (DBS) nano-conjugates via glycation to investigate the impact of DBS on 7S's physicochemical properties and the effect of different globulin-to-starch ratios on the conjugates. The results showed that 7S-DBS nano-conjugates with a 5:1 ratio had the smallest particle size (189.92 nm), lowest PDI (0.

A femtosecond pulse downconverts broadband electromagnetic signals to the hundreds of MHz range, enabling fast measurement and enhancing electromagnetic monitoring efficiency. However, due to the high peak power of optical pulses, the received power of the detector is severely limited, and thus the sensitivity of the system is reduced. To address this problematic issue, this paper presents a multichannel parallel high-saturation optical power-balanced photodetection technique that uses parallel reception to enhance the detector's received power, thereby improving the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and system sensitivity.

Aiming at the existing problems about the overflow prevention goal and the overall traffic efficiency guarantee being difficult to optimize at the same time in the signal control process of short-distance intersections scenario, this paper proposes a traffic signal active control method based on key state prediction. In order to construct the key state evolution trend of short-distance intersection scenarios, this paper proposes the concept of overflow index for short-distance road sections and designs the prediction method of overflow index. In order to perform fast computation and solution for the active control scheme, this paper builds a solution algorithm based on deep reinforcement learning and optimizes the problem of reward sparsity in the algorithm, which improves the ability of active control in terms of state space and reward function.

Introduction: Crohn's disease (CD) is a group of chronic transmural inflammation of gastrointestinal tract, which seriously harms the mental and physical health of adolescents. At present, there are still no specific markers that make the diagnosis of CD extremely difficult and poor prognosis. Iron deficiency is common in CD, yet the role of ferroptosis-related genes in CD has not been elucidated.

A photochromic ionic hydrogen-bonded organic framework (iHOF-51) was synthesized by reacting organic carboxylic acids with amidinium salts. Fast, reversible, and high-contrast stimulus-responsive behavior anionic radical naphthalenediimide (NDI) is observed. iHOF-51exhibits time-dependent photochromism in the powder state and excellent photoluminescent properties based on the synergistic interaction of FRET and radical anions in the 1%-iHOF-51-PVA composite membrane.

Recent advances in single-cell transcriptomics have greatly expanded our knowledge of plant development and cellular responses. However, analyzing fiber cell differentiation in plants, particularly in cotton, remains a complex challenge. A spatial transcriptomic map of ovule from -1 DPA, 0 DPA, and 1 DPA in cotton was successfully constructed, which helps to explain the important role of sucrose synthesis and lipid metabolism during early fiber development.

Introduction: CAR T cell therapy provided transformative outcomes for patients with B-cell lymphoma; however, a large fraction of patients remains at risk for relapse, underlying the need to uncover mechanisms of resistance and predictive biomarkers. Herein, we leveraged the ZUMA-7 phase III randomized trial of relapsed/refractory large B-cell lymphoma (LBCL) patients treated with axicabtagene ciloleucel (axi-cel; CD19-targeting CAR T cells) to discover tumor gene expression signatures (GES) associated with outcome.

Methods: With tumor transcriptomics from 134 axi-cel patients, we employed multivariate penalized Cox models analyzing event-free survival (EFS), progression-free survival (PFS), and duration of response (DOR).

P4-ATPases are phospholipid flippases responsible for the transbilayer lipid asymmetry. ATP8A1, a P4-ATPase family member, has been reported to be involved in phosphatidylserine (PS) translocation at the Golgi network, early endosomes and recycling endosomes. However, the possible roles of the PS on late endosomes/lysosomes pathway and how they are regulated remain to be elucidated.

The human gut microbiota, consisting of trillions of microorganisms, plays a crucial role in gastrointestinal (GI) health and disease. Dysbiosis, an imbalance in microbial composition, has been linked to a range of GI disorders, including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), celiac disease, and colorectal cancer. These conditions are influenced by the interactions between the gut microbiota, the host immune system, and the gut-brain axis.
