A styrene-glycidylmethacrylate-1-allyl-3-vinylimidazole epoxy functionalized ionomer (EFI) was synthesized, and the EFI and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were co-introduced into poly(lactide)/poly(butylene-adipate-co-terephtalate) (PLA/PBAT) blends to fabricate high performance composites with excellent mechanical properties, fatigue-resistance and dielectric properties. It is revealed that EFI can improve the interaction force between PLA and PBAT by inducing the interfacial crosslink reaction, thereby improving the melt strength of the samples. EFI can also refine the dispersion of CNT in the composites owing to the non-covalent force between EFI and CNT, promote the formation of filler network inside composites, which is demonstrated by DMA and rheological test results.

However, besides poor cycling stability, the practical application of dense CPs in supercapacitors is generally limited by low specific capacitance and high resistance, which are caused by their low specific surface area and dense frameworks, resulting in insufficient redox reactions of metal sites and poor ion diffusion, respectively. Here, we synthesize a new dense CP {CP-1: [Ce(obb)(HCOO)]} via self-assembly of the Ce cation and 4,4'-oxidibenzoate (obb).

Under this protocol, α-pyridyl-α-fluoro esters as latent carbon nucleophiles, compounds containing a C-SCF stereocenter along with azacycles and fluorine atoms, were obtained in good yields and enantioselectivities under mild conditions (up to 68% yield, 92% ee).

These complications place an enormous and growing burden on global health systems and economies. The objective of this study was to conduct a systematic review on the therapeutic mechanisms of Taohe Chengqi Decoction (THCQD) in the treatment of diabetic cardiovascular complications.

Simulation results obtained from the widely accepted Monte-Carlo (MC)-based channel model of NLOS UVC are provided to verify corresponding theoretical results obtained from the proposed theoretical single-scatter CIR model. Additionally, an outdoor experiment with a light-emitting diode (LED) as the light source is first designed to measure the channel step response of NLOS UVC and to further validate the proposed theoretical single-scatter CIR model.

While intussusception in adults typically occurs intra-abdominally and presents with signs and symptoms of intestinal obstruction, in rare cases, it can mimic a rectal prolapse if the intussusceptum protrudes through the anal canal. We herein report a case where an octogenarian woman presented with rectosigmoid intussusception through the anal canal, due to a sigmoid colon submucosal lipoma, who eventually required an open Hartmann's procedure.

This study was designed to screen for significantly differentially expressed genes (DEGs) that may be associated with gastric cancer using bioinformatic methods. RNA-seq data from gastric cancers were downloaded from the TCGA and GEO databases, and 1903 secretory genes were downloaded from the HPA database.

Herein, a facile coordination-driven modular assembly strategy is used for developing a library of gas-sensing materials based on porous MXene frameworks (MFs). Taking advantage of modules with diverse composition and tunable structure, our MFs-based library can provide more choices to satisfy gas-sensing demands.

More specifically, the analytical expressions of the received optical energy resulting from single-scatter and single-reflection events in reflection-assisted NLOS UVC are respectively derived. Then, in terms of those two expressions, the expression of the proposed SCI path loss model is obtained.

In this Letter, a theoretical model to determine the UV radiation intensity (UVRI) on human skin is put forward based on the Monte Carlo method, where the UV wavelength ranges from 200 to 300 nm. Meanwhile, the UVRI evaluation algorithm is provided to reproduce the simulation results.

However, the biological mechanisms connecting early life mTBI to neurodegeneration remain unknown. Using an adolescent mouse repetitive closed head injury model that induces progressive cognitive impairment in males and anxiety in females in the absence of overt histopathology, we examined transcriptional and translational changes in neurons isolated from sham and injured brain in the chronic phase after injury.

Electrocardiogram (ECG) localization is helpful for the application of the peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) technique in neonates with PLSVC.
Objective: To explore the characteristic waveforms of the P wave when a PICC under ECG localization is applied in neonates with PLSVC.
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a leading cause of death and disability with no specific effective therapy, in part because disease driving mechanisms remain to be elucidated. Receptor interacting protein kinases (RIPKs) are serine/threonine kinases that assemble multi-molecular complexes that induce apoptosis, necroptosis, inflammasome and nuclear factor kappa B activation. Prior studies using pharmacological inhibitors implicated necroptosis in the pathogenesis of TBI and stroke, but these studies cannot be used to conclusively demonstrate a role for necroptosis because of the possibility of off target effects.

This study mainly aimed to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of XST combined with western medicines (WM) for ischemic stroke treatment.
Methods: The related databases were searched to collect all randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing the combination of XST and WM with WM alone for the treatment of patients with ischemic stroke.

However, currently reported single-scatter path loss (PL) models of NLOS UVC links assume that the radiant intensity of the light source is uniformly distributed within the beam divergence angle, which cannot well characterize the light emission pattern of LEDs. In this Letter, we propose a single-scatter PL model for LED-based NLOS UVC systems, and the corresponding analytical expression is derived by modeling the LED emission pattern as a Lambertian distribution.

Supported Pd catalysts are active in catalyzing the highly exothermic methane combustion reaction but tend to be deactivated owing to local hyperthermal environments. Herein we report an effective approach to stabilize Pd/SiO catalysts with porous Al O overlayers coated by atomic layer deposition (ALD). Al magic angle spinning NMR analysis showed that Al O overlayers on Pd particles coated by the ALD method are rich in pentacoordinated Al sites capable of strongly interacting with adjacent surface PdO phases on supported Pd particles.
