Introduction: Exosomes play an important role in regulating physiological processes and mediating the systemic dissemination of various types of cancer. We investigated the association of exosomal tetraspanins CD9, CD63, and CD81 in patients with ovarian cancer (OC).
Material And Methods: We measured the plasma tetraspanins CD9, CD63, and CD81 by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay in 91 patients who underwent treatment for OC between April 2018 and March 2024.
Species of the genus have the potential to be natural medicines and have industrial fibre production uses. Many species of this genus are morphologically similar and are difficult to distinguish, especially when their morphology is distorted. This dataset includes sequence information of several DNA regions isolated from the genome of , namely ITS (from the nuclear genome), , trnL-trnF, trnH-psbA, and (from the chloroplast genome) and phylogenetic analysis results based on the isolated sequences.

Methods: A total of 538 patients underwent living donor kidney transplantation between January 2018 and December 2020, 413 of whom met the inclusion criteria for this study. All patients underwent oral glucose tolerance tests (OGTTs) with 75 g glucose/200 mL solution, starting 3 months post-transplant and repeating the test every 3 months for the first year.
Purpose: Biliary tract cancers, which are rare and aggressive malignancies, are rich in clinically actionable molecular alterations. A major challenge in the field is the paucity of clinically relevant biliary tract cancer models that recapitulate the diverse molecular profiles of these tumors. The purpose of this study was to curate a collection of patient-derived xenograft (PDX) models that reflect the spectrum of genomic alterations present in biliary tract cancers to create a resource for modeling precision oncology.

Here, APOBEC3B, HIF-1α, KRAS, and PIK3CA were examined in patients with and without endometriosis using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). The apoptosis, cell proliferation, invasion, migration, and biological function of APOBEC3B knockdown were explored in 12Z immortalized human endometriotic cell line.

Herein, mixed nickel-cobalt hexacyanoferrate (NiCoHCF) microcubes of varying : molar ratios are synthesized a co-precipitation route and comprehensively characterized to study their material and electrochemical properties. NiCoHCF microcubes display the battery-type electrochemical energy storage mechanism in aqueous electrolytes.

Materials And Methods: ADAR1 was examined in patients with and without endometriosis using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), and the apoptotic expression of ADAR1 small interfering RNA (siRNA) was confirmed using flow cytometry.
Background And Objectives: When a patient is admitted for seizure-like activity, in addition to obtaining a thorough history and physical exam, the evaluation may include a neurology consultation, EEG, and brain MRI. The cost of an inpatient MRI is significant and only 2% of MRIs yield clinically significant findings. At our institution, there was a 20% increase in patients undergoing inpatient MRI from 2018 to 2020.

Introduction: The outbreak of coronavirus severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2) had significant effects on the mental well-being in general, particularly for healthcare professionals. This study examined the prevalence of depression, anxiety, and stress, and identified the associated risk factors amongst healthcare workers during the COVID-19 outbreak in a tertiary hospital located in Vietnam.
Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study at a tertiary-level hospital, where the Depression Anxiety and Stress Scale 21 (DASS-21) web-based questionnaire was employed.

Funding agencies, especially in the United States (US), have encouraged the use of logic models among their grantees. They also use logic models to clarify expectations for their own funding initiatives.

Objective: The aim of the study is to explore tobacco-related knowledge and perceptions at Washington State (WA) agencies.
Methods: The study used a cross-sectional employee survey and qualitative focus groups with managers/supervisors. We produced descriptive statistics to examine differences in awareness and perceptions of tobacco-control efforts among employees and conducted a rapid thematic analysis of focus group data.
Genomically-informed therapy requires consideration of the functional impact of genomic alterations on protein expression and/or function. However, a substantial number of variants are of unknown significance (VUS). The MD Anderson Precision Oncology Decision Support (PODS) team developed an actionability classification scheme that categorizes VUS as either "Unknown" or "Potentially" actionable based on their location within functional domains and/or proximity to known oncogenic variants.

The Implementation Studio is a training and consultation program focused on facilitating the selection, adaptation, and implementation of cancer prevention and control EBIs. This paper describes implementation and evaluation of the Implementation Studio on CBO's capacity to implement EBIs and their clients' knowledge of colorectal cancer (CRC) screening and intention to screen.

From 2003 to 2022, the CPCRN included 613 members.
Methods: We: (1) characterize the extent and nature of collaborations through a bibliometric analysis of 20 years of Network publications; and (2) describe key features and functions of the CPCRN as related to organizational structure, productivity, impact, and focus on health equity, partnership development, and capacity building through analysis of 22 in-depth interviews and review of Network documentation.
It is increasingly being recognized that logic models should be developed through a participatory approach which allows input from those who carry out the program being evaluated. While there are many positive examples of participatory logic modeling, funders have generally not used this approach in the context of multi-site initiatives. This article describes an instance where the funder and evaluator of a multi-site initiative fully engaged the funded organizations in developing the initiative logic model.

We aimed to evaluate the rate of genetic testing at a tertiary academic medical center utilizing a multidisciplinary clinic model including genetic counselor.
Methods: A single-center retrospective chart review was performed on a cohort of newly diagnosed breast cancer patients from January 2018 through February 2019.
Colorectal cancer (CRC) screening reduces morbidity and mortality, but screening rates in the USA remain suboptimal. The Colorectal Cancer Control Program (CRCCP) was established in 2009 to increase screening among groups disproportionately affected. The CRCCP utilizes implementation science to support health system change as a strategy to reduce disparities in CRC screening by directing resources to primary care clinics to implement evidence-based interventions (EBIs) proven to increase CRC screening.

The objective of this study was to explore rural partner engagement and describe effective strategies for incorporating a rural focus in CCC plans.
Methods: States were selected for inclusion using stratified sampling based on state rurality and region.

In 2014, we collected liver biopsy samples for histopathological examination from 33 chronic hepatitis patients living around the Da Nang Airbase, which is a dioxin-contaminated area due to the herbicide spraying in Vietnam. Dioxin exposure was measured by its levels in the blood.
