Stevens Johnson syndrome (SJS) and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN) are acute life-threatening mucocutaneous drug reactions. Several therapies have been used in the treatment of SJS/TEN but none of them have yet been established as the gold standard treatment. Studies have shown that cyclosporine (CsA) can be used off-label in TEN/SJS, which has shown promising therapeutic effectiveness in such diseases.
