Cephalosporin antibiotics were separated on thin layer plates impregnated with transition metal ions, Mn(2+), Fe(2+), Co(2+), Ni(2+) and Cu(2+), using different concentrations. Various solvent systems were developed for the study and were used for separation of these analytes.
