The RNA binding protein TIA1 is known to regulate stress responses. Here we show that TIA1 plays a much broader role in inflammatory cells, being required for the microglial sensome. We crossed TIA1 cKO mice (using a CX3CR1 driven cre element) to PS19 MAPT P301S tauopathy mice.

Objective: To determine the frequency of immediate morbidities in neonates with evidence of mature fetal lung indices who delivered before 37 weeks gestation.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on pregnancies resulting in birth at < 37 weeks after mature fetal lung was documented by phosphatidylglycerol, lecithin/sphingomyelin ratio, or TDx-FLM studies. Pregnancies with multifetal gestations, maternal diabetes, or fetal anomalies were excluded.

Objective: To describe pregnancy outcomes following elective (history-indicated), urgent (ultrasound-indicated) or emergent (physical-exam indicated) cerclage placement.
Materials And Methods: Study design was retrospective chart review. Women with singleton gestation and cervical cerclage were categorised into: elective, urgent and emergent group.
This report describes a case of hemorrhagic stroke that presented as an expressive aphasia after routine hernia repair under spinal anesthesia in an otherwise generally healthy middle-aged outpatient. Possible roles of preexisting migrainous headaches and perioperative ephedrine are discussed, but, as in most cases of perioperative stroke, the possibilities are numerous and the cause of the stroke difficult to determine.
