Older Adults with Bipolar Disorder (OABD) represent a heterogeneous group, including those with early and late onset of the disorder. Recent evidence shows both groups have distinct clinical, cognitive, and medical features, tied to different neurobiological profiles. This study explored the link between polygenic risk scores (PRS) for bipolar disorder (PRS-BD), schizophrenia (PRS-SCZ), and major depressive disorder (PRS-MDD) with age of onset in OABD.

The study included 79 prospectively enrolled participants who had undergone MRE due to known or suspected liver disease between November 2022 and September 2023. Among them, 48 patients were diagnosed with histopathologically confirmed liver fibrosis.

Despite increasing evidence of the proinflammatory effects of extracellular S100A8/A9, little is known about its intracellular function. Here, we show that cytosolic S100A8/A9 is indispensable for neutrophil post-arrest modifications during outside-in signaling under flow conditions in vitro and neutrophil recruitment in vivo, independent of its extracellular functions.

As a result of the topographical relationship to nearby neck spaces, a very precise differential diagnosis is possible based on imaging criteria. When in doubt, imaging-guided - usually CT-guided - biopsy and even drainage remain options.

Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on patients with HCM who underwent serial CMR at 1.5 Tesla.
Rationale And Objectives: It is crucial to inform the patient about potential complications and obtain consent before interventional radiology procedures. In this study, we investigated the accuracy, reliability, and readability of the information provided by ChatGPT-4 about potential complications of interventional radiology procedures.
Materials And Methods: Potential major and minor complications of 25 different interventional radiology procedures (8 non-vascular, 17 vascular) were asked to ChatGPT-4 chatbot.
Transcription factors (TFs) orchestrating lineage-development often control genes required for cellular survival. However, it is not well understood how cells survive when such TFs are lost, for example in cancer. PU.

A total of 53 patients were studied and grouped according to the diameter of the largest pulmonary nodule, defined as index tumor size (ITS). Patients with an ITS > 3 cm (n = 20) were treated with TPCE and MWA.

Of these, 33 patients were treated with TACP, 20 were treated with TACE, and 22 received a combination of both therapies.

However, no accepted method has been established to identify patients at risk for tumor-related intussusception. This study aimed to identify imaging features as predictors for tumor-related intussusception.

Previous studies suggested that maternal malnutrition does not affect breast milk composition. Yet, malnourished children often develop a so-called environmental enteropathy, assumed to be triggered by frequent pathogen uptake and unfavorable gut colonization.

To establish dual-energy-derived iodine density reference values in abdominopelvic organs in a large cohort of healthy subjects. : 597 patients who underwent portal venous phase dual-energy CT scans of the abdomen were retrospectively enrolled. Iodine distribution maps were reconstructed, and regions of interest measurements were placed in abdominal and pelvic structures to obtain absolute iodine values.

Purpose: Preliminary dual-energy CT studies have shown that low-energy virtual monoenergetic (VMI) + reconstructions can provide superior image quality compared to standard 120 kV CTA series. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of low-energy VMI reconstructions on quantitative and qualitative image quality, vascular contrast, and diagnostic assessability of the carotid artery in patients undergoing photon-counting CTA examinations.
Materials And Methods: A total of 122 patients (67 male) who had undergone dual-source photon-counting CTA scans of the carotid artery were retrospectively analyzed in this study.
Introduction: Osteoclasts determine bone tissue turnover. Their increased activity causes osteoporosis, their dysfunction osteopetrosis.
Methods And Results: Murine monocytic ER-Hoxb8 cells differentiate into OCs upon treatment with M-CSF and RANKL and upregulate the collagen-binding integrin α2β1 distinctly earlier than other OC markers, such as the OC-associated receptor, OSCAR.
Background: The purpose of this study was to establish a standardized structured workflow to compare findings from high-resolution, optimized reconstructions from post-mortem computed tomography (pmCT) with autopsy results in the detection of fractures of the laryngohyoid complex in strangulation victims.
Method: Forty-two strangulation cases were selected, and pmCT scans of the laryngohyoid complex were obtained. Both pmCT scans and autopsy reports were analyzed using a structured template and compared using Cohen's kappa coefficient (κ) and the McNemar test.
Background: We evaluated the role of dual-energy computed tomography (DECT)-based collagen maps in assessing thoracic disc degeneration.
Methods: We performed a retrospective analysis of patients who underwent DECT and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the thoracic spine within a 2-week period from July 2019 to October 2022. Thoracic disc degeneration was classified by three blinded radiologists into three Pfirrmann categories: no/mild (grade 1-2), moderate (grade 3-4), and severe (grade 5).

Purpose: While epigenetic profiling discovered biomarkers in several tumor entities, its application in prostate cancer is still limited. We explored DNA methylation-based deconvolution of benign and malignant prostate tissue for biomarker discovery and the potential of radiomics as a non-invasive surrogate.
Methods: We retrospectively included 30 patients (63 [58-79] years) with prostate cancer (PCa) who had a multiparametric MRI of the prostate before radical prostatectomy between 2014 and 2019.
Background: Magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) can quantify tissue biomechanics noninvasively, including pathological hepatic states like metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis.
Purpose: To compare the performance of 2D/3D-MRE using the gravitational (GT) transducer concept with the current commercial acoustic (AC) solution utilizing a 2D-MRE approach. Additionally, quality index markers (QIs) were proposed to identify image pixels with sufficient quality for reliably estimating tissue biomechanics.
