Changes in Lolium perenne transcriptome during cold acclimation in two genotypes adapted to different climatic conditions.

Background: Activation of numerous protective mechanisms during cold acclimation is important for the acquisition of freezing tolerance in perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.).
