- The study aimed to assess the uncertainty involved in using deep-inspiration breath-hold (DIBH) radiotherapy for treating patients with locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
- During the study, fluoroscopic movies were taken while patients were breathing normally and during DIBH to track the movement of markers in various directions (anterior-posterior, left-right, cranio-caudal).
- The results showed that DIBH significantly reduced motion of the markers by 2-6mm compared to regular breathing, with very small errors noted during breath-holds, indicating that while DIBH improves treatment precision, it doesn’t completely eliminate motion uncertainty.

The molecular details and impact of oligosaccharide uptake by distinct human gut microbiota (HGM) are currently not well understood.
