Objective: The study collected data on the attitudes of residents toward religion and spirituality in their practice after taking part in a 3-year curriculum on spirituality during their residency.
Methods: This is a descriptive, single-site study with psychiatry residents as subjects. A questionnaire was given to the residents at the end of their third year of residency (N = 12).

Individual physicians are challenged to decrease their operating costs at the same time they are expected to reduce complication rates. For the orthopedic surgeon who performs total knee arthroplasty (TKA), one way to address operating costs is to increase efficiency in the operating room. Computer-assisted surgery (CAS) has not delivered efficiency the way it was once hoped.

This retrospective study examined the clinical significance of a radiographic sign associated with periprosthetic metallosis after total knee arthroplasty. Of 71 knees undergoing revision arthroplasty over an 8-year period, 11 had gross evidence of metal debris identified intraoperatively. Histologic preparations confirmed the presence of particulate metal debris in all cases.

Dignity is more than an individual concern; it has individual, institutional, and societal dimensions. An ethical framework is proposed that involves the interrelated vulnerabilities and needs of individuals and communities and our societal response to them.
