Objectives: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune disease with heterogeneous clinical manifestations which significantly impacts the daily lives of patients. Herein, we aimed to (i) investigate patients' perspectives on and experience with SLE; (ii) identify meaningful aspects of health (MAHs) and concepts of interest (COIs) in SLE that could be evaluated using digital clinical measures (DCMs); and (iii) identify target DCMs for their assessment.

Methods: A mixed-methods, multistep approach was deployed for (i) exploring patients' experience with SLE through a social media listening study and focused group discussions with patients; (ii) mapping patients' experiences to define MAHs and identify COIs measurable using DCMs; (iii) selecting DCMs for the target COIs; and (iv) identifying types of wearable sensors for measuring COIs in the patients.

As a free-ranging, social species, the housing of horses () may limit their opportunity to display natural behaviour, compromising well-being. This review records and presents studies that have investigated horse housing design, evaluates the location and number of studies carried out to date, and reports the methods used to assess impact on equine well-being. A Boolean search was conducted in two databases: Web of Science and Scopus, filtered according to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) protocol, resulting in 60 peer-reviewed papers for evaluation.

Across two studies, we investigated when, how, and how often people share traumatic events ( = 1008). In Study 1, most participants (78.5%) perceived their most stressful/traumatic event as shared primarily due to knowing others were present during the event (physical sharing), knowing/believing others had experienced or could experience a similar event (relational sharing), discussing the event with others (verbal sharing), or having the same emotions about the event as others (emotional sharing).

Since 1968, the United States Transuranium and Uranium Registries (USTUR) has studied the biokinetics and tissue dosimetry of uranium and transuranium elements in nuclear workers. As part of the USTUR collaboration with the Million Person Study (MPS) of Low-Dose Health Effects, radiation dose to different parts of the human heart is being estimated for workers with documented intakes of 239Pu or 226Ra. The study may be expanded for workers with intakes of 238U and other radionuclides.

Simultaneous observations of and in Jupiter's northern infrared aurora were conducted on 02 June 2017 using Keck-NIRSPEC to produce polar projection maps of radiance, rotational temperature, column density, and radiance. The temperature variations within the auroral region are K, generally consistent with previous studies, albeit with some structural differences. Known auroral heating sources including particle precipitation, Joule heating, and ion drag have been examined by studying the correlations between each derived quantity, yet no single dominant mechanism can be identified as the main driver for the energetics in Jupiter's northern auroral region.

Multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWNT) aerogel mats were irradiated with carbon ions to explore the effect of irradiation-induced sp bonds and sp bond defects on ultrahigh strain rate mechanical properties. Energy dissipation was measured using a microprojectile impact test. Specific penetration energy [Formula: see text] increased strongly with irradiation with a maximum [Formula: see text] of ~26 megajoules per kilogram, over 200% higher than the previous best energy-absorbing material of pristine MWNT mats and at least an order of magnitude higher than any other material tested at the microscale.

Melanoma remains a formidable challenge in oncology, causing the majority of skin cancer deaths in the United States, with brain metastases contributing substantially to this mortality. This paper reviews the current therapeutic strategies for melanoma brain metastases, with a focus on delayed and concurrent stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS). While surgery and traditional chemotherapy offer limited efficacy, recent advances in immunotherapy, particularly immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), have played a major role in the advancement and improved efficacy of the treatment of cancers, including brain metastases.
