Background: Prereduction shoulder X-rays are frequently done to rule out an important fracture that might preclude reduction of a shoulder dislocation in the ED. Our objective was to determine the risk factors for an important fracture in patients admitted to the ED with shoulder dislocation.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study was conducted at the Toulouse University Hospital from 1 January 2017 to 31 December 2018.
Objective: In patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI), early detection and subsequent prompt treatment of elevated intracranial pressure (ICP) is a challenge in the prehospital setting, because physical examination is limited in comatose patients and invasive device placement is not possible. The aim of this study was to evaluate the quality and feasibility of optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD) measurements obtained during the prehospital management of patients with TBI.
Methods: This study was a prospective, observational study of 23 patients with moderate and severe TBI during prehospital medical care.
To provide care for multi-trauma patients, prehospital teams need to act immediately, jointly and efficiently. Their objectives are to stabilise the patient's vital functions and identify injuries responsible for hemodynamic and/or respiratory failure.

This report shows their emergence in France, with 12 cases observed during a 2-year period in two university hospitals. Two clones (sequence type 86 [ST86] and ST380) of serotype K2 caused five rapidly fatal bacteremia cases, three of which were associated with pneumonia, whereas seven liver abscess cases were caused by K1 strains of ST23.
