Large-sample hydrology datasets have become increasingly available, contributing to significant scientific advances. However, in Europe, only a few such datasets have been published, capturing only a fraction of the wealth of information from national data providers in terms of available spatial density and temporal extent. We present "EStreams", an extensive dataset of hydro-climatic variables and landscape descriptors and a catalogue of openly available stream records for 17,130 European catchments.

The Alqueva reservoir and irrigation project is one of the largest strategic water reservoirs in Western Europe and the AIS's primary source. The closure of the dam in 2002 resulted in significant changes to the region's land use and agricultural practices, shifting from predominantly rainfed dry cereals to intensively irrigated olive and almond orchards.

This paper assesses trends in forest cover loss and land use and land cover changes in northern Algeria between 2000 and 2020 using datasets extracted from Google Earth Engine (GEE), such as the Hanssen Global Forest Change and MODIS Land Cover Type products (MCD12Q1). Classification was performed using the pixel-based supervised machine-learning algorithm called Random Forest (RF).
