Design: A retrospective cohort study using administrative claims data from January 1, 2007, through March 31, 2015. Patients were grouped into yearly cohorts.

Factors Associated With Head and Neck Cancer Hospitalization Cost and Length of Stay-A National Study.

Objectives: The aim of the study was to estimate hospitalization cost, and factors associated with hospitalization costs and length of stay (LOS) of patients treated for head and neck cancer in the United States.

Methods: Data on 71,440 weighted hospital admissions from the 2014 National Inpatient Sample with a diagnosis of head and neck cancer were examined. Multivariable linear regression models estimated factors associated with hospitalization costs, and negative binomial regression models were used to identify factors associated with hospital LOS.
