Background: Cost-related nonadherence (CRN) to prescription medication has been shown to affect healthcare outcomes. While CRN has been reported in many countries globally, it has not been fully characterized in Vietnam.
Objectives: This study was conducted to determine CRN rates and factors associated with CRN among pharmacy customers in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam.
Purpose: Cancer imposes a substantial financial burden on patients because of the high out-of-pocket expenses and the significant hardships. Financial toxicity describes the impact of cancer care costs at the patient level. Although the financial impact of cancer has been recognized, understanding the extent and determinants of financial toxicity in specific contexts is crucial.

Assessing the affordability of achieving a quality-adjusted life year (QALY) in gastrointestinal cancer patients Vietnam, as well as identifying predictors of willingness to pay (WTP) per QALY, is crucial to decision-making around medical intervention prioritization and performing medical technology assessments for these cancers.
Objectives: Our study aimed to estimate WTP/QALY gained and associated factors among patients diagnosed with GI cancer at a tertiary hospital in Hue, Vietnam.
Soursop ( L.) fruit tea is a health-beneficial product that promotes economic development and addresses the issue of excessive agricultural waste. Prolonging the shelf-life of soursop fruit tea has been of scientific interest currently.

Therefore, fabricating these devices at a low cost but obtaining high sensitivity in a wide range of wavelengths is of great interest. This report introduces a simple solution-processed hybrid 2D structure of CuO and rGO for broadband photodetector applications.

The food selection and processing stage are important stages to prevent food poisoning. A good level of knowledge and practice regarding food selection and processing among people who are responsible for the family meals are important. In this study, we aimed to investigate the knowledge and practice of primary food caregivers regarding food poisoning prevention in food selection and processing and identify the factors that influence these outcomes.

In this research, 24 curcumin analogues containing 1H-pyrazole (a1-f4) were synthesized and characterized by using modern spectroscopic techniques. Firstly, synthetic MACs were screened for cytotoxicity against human cancer cell lines such as SW480, MDA-MB-231 and A549, from which the 10 most potential cytotoxic compounds were identified and selected.

This study focuses on the synthesis of a hybrid material system from lignin and silver/silica nanoparticles (Lig@Ag/SiO NPs) which were used against bacteria including Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Staphylococcus aureus (S.

We aimed to study the characteristics of these pollutants in atmospheric PM of three Asian countries, including Taiwan (Taipei), Thailand (Chiang Mai), and Vietnam (Hanoi). We carried out a source apportionment analysis to determine significant PCDD/F contributors in these areas.

The clinical signs and symptoms of pancreatic angiosarcoma are nonspecific, and it is occasionally diagnosed at an advanced stage. Pancreatic angiosarcoma and Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma in one patient was never ever known in English literature.

Here, we studied the influence of hormonal status by comparing in vivo cardiac performances measured by MRI in non-ovariectomized and ovariectomized septic female rats. Control and ovariectomized rats were randomly allocated to the following groups: sham, sepsis and sepsis plus landiolol.

Monitoring this compound in the gas phase is desirable due to its appreciable reactivity with tropospheric ozone. From a molecular point of view, this molecule is attractive since the two adjacent hydroxy groups can interchangeably act as donor and acceptor in an intramolecular hydrogen bonding due to the tunnelling between two symmetrically equivalent structures.

Methods: The myocardial transcriptional profiles in male and female Wistar rats were assessed after the induction of sepsis by cecal ligation and puncture and addition of landiolol.
Results: Our results showed major differences in the biological processes activated during sepsis in male and female rats.
Purpose Of Review: The purpose of this review is to discuss current drugs used for intravenous moderate and deep sedation by nonanesthesiologists in the United States. We also explore training expectations for moderate and deep sedation as they play key roles in anesthetic selection and preprocedural planning.
Recent Findings: Although opioids and benzodiazepines are considered the standard for moderate sedation, increased interest in propofol, dexmedetomidine, and other sedative-hyptonic drugs require additional attention in terms of training providers and complying with current practice guidelines.
Left ventricular non-compaction (LVNC) is a rare cardiomyopathy associated with a hypertrabeculated phenotype and a large spectrum of symptoms. It is still unclear whether LVNC results from a defect of ventricular trabeculae development and the mechanistic basis that underlies the varying severity of this pathology is unknown. To investigate these issues, we inactivated the cardiac transcription factor Nkx2-5 in trabecular myocardium at different stages of trabecular morphogenesis using an inducible Cx40-creERT2 allele.

Adsorption of the polyelectrolyte polydiallyldimethylammonium chloride (PDADMAC) onto nanosilica (SiO₂) fabricated from rice husk was studied in this work. Nanosilica was characterized by X-ray diffraction, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Adsorption of PDADMAC onto SiO₂ increased with increasing pH because the negative charge of SiO₂ is higher at high pH.
