Drought is a reoccurring natural phenomenon that presents significant challenges to agricultural production, ecosystem stability, and water resource management. The Central Highlands of Vietnam, a major region of industrial crops and vegetation ecosystems, has become increasingly vulnerable to drought impacts. Despite this vulnerability, limited research has explored the specific characteristics of drought and its seasonal effects on vegetation ecosystems in the region.

Background: Ensuring ongoing first-aid training for primary healthcare providers (PHPs) is one of the critical strategies for providing quality health services and contributing to achieving universal health coverage. However, PHPs have received insufficient attention in terms of training and capacity building, especially in the remote areas of low-to-middle-income countries. This study evaluated the effectiveness of a first-aid training program for PHPs on a Vietnamese island and explored their perspectives and experiences regarding first-aid implementation.

Psychometric evaluation of the Vietnamese version of nurses' ethical behaviors for protecting patient rights scale (V-NEBPPRS): a methodological study.

Background: Recognizing patients' rights as fundamental human rights, the global healthcare community, including the World Health Organization and various nursing organizations, has emphasized the critical role of nurses in upholding these rights through ethical practice and patient-centered care. However, in the complex landscape of healthcare, nurses in Vietnam face various ethical issues and challenges that may impede their ability to protect patient rights effectively, necessitating tools for better ethical decision-making and practice.

Therefore, minimizing their tendency to self-assemble could be a potential strategy for enhancing the pharmacological properties of antimicrobial peptides (AMPs). Objective: The study aimed to evaluate the role of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in differentiating between primary benign and malignant soft tissue tumors (STTs).

Patients And Methods: The study was carried out on 110 patients with histopathological diagnoses of STTs. All patients underwent routine MRI before surgery/biopsy at Viet Duc University Hospital or Vietnam National Cancer Hospital, Hanoi, Vietnam, from January 2020 to October 2022.

Influence of Sex and Sex-Based Disparities on Prevalent Tuberculosis, Vietnam, 2017-2018.

To assess sex disparities in tuberculosis in Vietnam, we conducted a nested, case-control study based on a 2017 tuberculosis prevalence survey. We defined the case group as all survey participants with laboratory-confirmed tuberculosis and the control group as a randomly selected group of participants with no tuberculosis. We used structural equation modeling to describe pathways from sex to tuberculosis according to an a priori conceptual framework.

Usefulness of Hospital Admission Chest X-ray Score for Predicting Mortality and ICU Admission in COVID-19 Patients.

We aimed to investigate the performance of a chest X-ray (CXR) scoring scale of lung injury in prediction of death and ICU admission among patients with COVID-19 during the 2021 peak pandemic in HCM City, Vietnam. CXR and clinical data were collected from Vinmec Central Park-hospitalized patients from July to September 2021. Three radiologists independently assessed the day-one CXR score consisting of both severity and extent of lung lesions (maximum score = 24).

Assessment of Climate Change and Human Activities on Vegetation Development in Northeast China.

Vegetation in Northeast China (NEC) has faced dual challenges posed by climate change and human activities. However, the factors dominating vegetation development and their contribution remain unclear. In this study, we conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the response of vegetation in different land cover types, climate regions, and time scales to water availability from 1990 to 2018 based on the relationship between normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) and the standardized precipitation evapotranspiration index (SPEI).
