Purpose: To evaluate the effect of corneal crosslinking (CXL) with ultraviolet A (UVA) irradiation on pupil response to tropicamide 0.5% instillation.
Methods: This prospective interventional study enrolled 17 patients (19 eyes) with progressive keratoconus who underwent CXL with UVA irradiation.
Breast cancer is one of the most common malignant diseases occurring in women, and its incidence increases over the years. Case Presentation: A 29-year-old female patient was referred to our department by her ophthalmologist for investigation and treatment of peripheral retinal neovascularization in her right eye(RE). Visual acuity(VA) at presentation was 20/200 RE and 20/20 LE.
We review a total of 342 cases of endogenous bacterial endophthalmitis reported between 1986 and 2012. Predisposing conditions were present in 60%, most commonly diabetes, intravenous drug use, and malignancy. The most common sources of infection were liver, lung, endocardium, urinary tract, and meninges.
