Nutrition knowledge and practice of midwives in Botswana.

Background: The roles and responsibilities of midwives include providing adequate nutrition assessment, nutrition and health education, counselling, and support to pregnant women.

Aim: This study aims to assess midwives' nutrition knowledge and to what extent they integrate maternal nutrition in services provided at health facilities.

Setting: This study included hospitals and clinics within the three selected districts in Botswana.

Quality of care provided to patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in Tshwane, South Africa.

Background:  Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2D) is a public health challenge, affecting 90% of all patients with diabetes, globally. Compliance to treatment guidelines among healthcare professionals (HCPs) is low, thus resulting in inadequate quality of patient care and poor health outcomes among patients.

Aim:  To examine the availability of equipment, guidelines, screening and education offered to patients with T2D and compare between clinics and community health centres (CHCs).

The predictors of food security and dietary diversity among internally displaced persons' children (6-59 months) in Bamenda health district, Cameroon.

Background: Malnutrition remains a major cause of morbidity and mortality amongst children in displaced settings. Nutrition at this stage is crucial for the growth and development of the child. It is estimated that 41 million children under 5 years are obese/overweight, 159 million are stunted and 50 million are wasted worldwide.
