This review explores the ecological transformation of SP, offering a global overview of existing challenges and sustainable initiatives worldwide.While some countries, such as the UK and France, have developed national strategies to reduce the carbon footprint of healthcare, including SP, many regions remain at an early stage of implementing green practices.

Formalin is the international gold-standard fixative in pathology laboratories. However it is not the ideal one considering its deleterious effects on individuals and the environment. Complete formalin removal or even substitution does not seem possible in the near future.

[Nodular lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin lymphoma (paragranuloma of Poppema) in children: Case report, review of the literature and treatment].

We present the case of a 12 year old child with a limp. The diagnostic work-up reveals splenomegaly, multifocal bone involvement and abdominal adenopathies. A biopsy of an intra-abdominal lesion shows a lymphoid mass with a nodular architecture composed of poorly defined nodules.

A Single Nail Dystrophy as a Unique Manifestation of Sarcoidosis: A Case Report.

Sarcoidosis with nail involvement is rare and most commonly affecting plural digits. Nail changes are frequently an indication of systemic disease and underlying bone involvement, thus complete clinical evaluation with bone and thorax radiological examination is a necessity in suspected cases. We report a case of onychodystrophy with osseous involvement of only one finger as unique manifestation of sarcoidosis, which is very rare.

A 66-year-old white female presented with a generalized, erythematous, and itchy eruption for 3 days after. Breast erythema and nodular skin metastasis as the first manifestation of breast implant-associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma.

Anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL) associated with rough textured breast implants was first reported in 1997. It is a non-Hodgkin's lymphoma originating from a T lymphocyte which occurs on average 10.9 years after placement of the breast implant.

Background: Halo nevi are often considered benign, and the possibility of malignancy is not always clear to practitioners. We present two case reports suggesting that a halo nevus appearance can be seen in melanoma, even in young adults. A literature search for halo nevi revealing melanoma shows that this is a very rare condition.

Localized bullous pemphigoid: Four clinical cases and a literature review.

Localized bullous pemphigoid (LBP) rarely evolves into the generalized form, and the prognosis is better. In our opinion, the occurrence of LBP is underestimated because of incorrect diagnoses. It is therefore important to perform a skin biopsy each time a bullous rash is concerned in order to make a definite diagnosis.

Background: Apocrine hidrocystomas are benign cystic tumors that develop from apocrine gland proliferation. In most cases, they are translucent solitary lesions of the face, generally found in the periorbital region, on the scalp or on the neck. More rarely, apocrine hidrocystomas may be multiple and appear on the ears, trunk, shoulders and genital area.

MicroRNA represents a new class of biomarkers, and accumulating evidence indicates that microRNAs contribute to tumorigenesis and cancer metastasis. It has been described that miR-210 is highly expressed in TNBC, and its overexpression had been linked to poor prognosis.

Seborrheic keratosis evolution into squamous cell carcinoma: A truly modified sun-related tumor? A case report and review of the literature.

The incidence of seborrheic keratosis (SK) generally increases with age and are mostly localized on the trunk, face and neck, especially on sun-exposed areas. The association between SK and skin malignancies appears to be accidental, but transformation occurs more frequently in sun-exposed areas. Histopathological examination of all SK cases should be considered, especially when SK lesions exhibit atypical clinical manifestations, such as ulceration and cresting, as they may herald malignant transformation.

A Rare Extraskeletal Osteosarcoma Appearing After 55 Years on a Large Stage 3 Burn Scar.

It is widely accepted that chronic burn wounds may lead to the development of various malignant skin tumors. Deep stage 3 burned areas may facilitate deeper carcinogenesis. Deep tissues are probably less subject to severe insult than is the epithelial layer during physical insult, suggesting that soft tissues transform to a lesser extent during the late stages of tumoral development as in an immunocompromised district with altered local immune defense with both cellular and humoral defense affected.

CD30+ Cutaneous Anaplastic Large-Cell Lymphoma of the Upper Eyelid: A Case Report.

CD30+ cutaneous anaplastic large-cell lymphoma is part of the CD30+ T-cell lymphoproliferative disorders. This type of lymphoma is in most cases indolent, with a high survival rate. We report the case of a 59-year-old patient with a 1-month lasting crusty lesion of the upper eyelid.

[Multiple cephalic deep granuloma annulare of children].

Background: Deep granuloma annulare is a fairly rare variety of granuloma annulare. It is seen predominantly in children and mainly affects the anterior aspect of the legs and the top of the feet; cephalic presentation is rare. Below, we report three cases of deep granuloma annulare in children presenting solely at the cephalic extremity.

Unusual presentation of an adult pedunculated hemangioma of the oropharynx.

Hemangioma is a benign tumor rarely found in adult, especially in oropharynx. This study describes the first case of mixed hemangioma occurring as an oropharyngeal asymptomatic pedunculated mass. Biopsy is excluded given the risk of hemorrhage.

Unusual Localisation for Onychomatricoma on the 5th Toenail: A Case Report and Review of the Literature.

Onychomatricoma is a rare and benign tumour of the nail matrix but originates rarely from the ventral portion of the proximal nail fold. This tumour is characterised by fingerlike projections that invade the nail plate. This lesion, of unknown aetiology, is typically asymptomatic with slow progression.

Diagnostic Challenge of Desmoplastic Melanoma.

Desmoplastic melanoma (DM) is a rare variant of spindle-cell malignant melanoma. DM is easily misdiagnosed at an early stage because it can be confused with benign entities. Histological analysis, including careful attention to the presence of atypical spindle cells, as well as to lymphocytic aggregates in an abundant fibrotic stroma in the dermis, provides clues for diagnosis.

Genetic differences between paediatric and adult Burkitt lymphomas.

Dysregulation of MYC is the genetic hallmark of Burkitt lymphoma (BL) but it is encountered in other aggressive mature B-cell lymphomas. MYC dysregulation needs other cooperating events for BL development. We aimed to characterize these events and assess the differences between adult and paediatric BLs that may explain the different outcomes in these two populations.
