Topical Tacrolimus in Vitiligo: Consensus Paper from the Pigmentary Disorders Society.

Background: Tacrolimus, a topical calcineurin inhibitor (TCI) with immunomodulatory effects, is considered a viable treatment option for vitiligo. A consensus building exercise was undertaken to determine the role and clinical utility of topical tacrolimus in the management of vitiligo using input from experts in the field of dermatology.

Methods: Seventeen experts collaborated to create consensus statements using a modified Delphi methodology.

Research Design And Methods: BGL-IA-CTP301 study was a randomized, open label, parallel group, multicenter phase-III clinical study to compare the efficacy and safety of recombinant Insulin Aspart 100 U/mL [manufactured by BioGenomics Limited (BGL-ASP)] with its reference medicinal product (RMP); NovoRapid® [manufactured by Novo Nordisk], in adult patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The primary objective of the study was to compare the immunogenicity of BGL-ASP and RMP; NovoRapid® in patient serum samples collected from phase-III clinical study.

In Vitro Biological Characterization of Recombinant Insulin Aspart from Biogenomics and Originator Insulin Aspart.

Background: Bioassays are used to identify the pharmacological activity of new or chemically unknown compounds, as well as their undesirable effect, including toxicity. Biological assays are also required to ensure the quality, safety, and efficacy of recombinant biologics to confirm its biosimilarity to its originator. In the present study, analytical similarity between the biosimilar and its innovator is established by in vitro bioassays.

Clinical and Dermoscopic Features of a Case of Idiopathic T-Cell Pseudolymphoma.

Cutaneous pseudolymphomas are a group of benign lymphocyte-rich infiltrates that can mimic cutaneous lymphomas either clinically and/or histologically. Idiopathic T-cell pseudolymphoma (TCPL) usually presents as a solitary nodule or plaque on the trunk or head. A clinicopathologic correlation is mandatory to arrive at a final diagnosis and rule out true lymphomas.

Background: Spinal dysraphism occurs due to incomplete fusion of the midline mesenchymal, bony, or neural elements of the spine. The defects in the spinal cord can be associated with skin lesion since both have same embryonic origin.

Dermoscopic features of basal cell carcinoma in skin of color: A retrospective cross-sectional study from Puducherry, South India.

Kaposi's sarcoma (KS) is one of the AIDS-defining illnesses, which tends to occur at low CD4 count. It is the most common malignancy associated with HIV disease. Yet, there is a paucity of Indian case reports of KS in the English literature.
