Doxycycline treatment of otosyphilis with hearing loss.

Objectives: The recommended treatment of otosyphilis is intravenous penicillin therapy. The response rate varied between 23% and 31%. This treatment needs hospitalisation and is costly, inconvenient and time consuming.
