Internal hernia with small bowel obstruction caused by Meckel's diverticulum: A case report.

We report a case of small bowel obstruction (SBO) caused by internal hernia from Meckel's diverticulum (MD). Abdominal CT scan showed an abnormal dilated blind-ending structure in continuity with the distal ileum in the right lower quadrant, suggesting Meckel's diverticulum. MPR images revealed a "double beak-sign" at the point of MD and a collapsed closed loop with mesenteric vessels converging to the diverticulum.

The anconeus-triceps lateral flap approach in terrible triad of the elbow: good outcome in a series of ten cases.

Introduction: Standard surgical management for the terrible triad of the elbow (TTE) has been established since 2004, yet postoperative complications are common and consensus on optimal management is absent. Different surgical algorithms for treating TTE and their efficacy have been reported worldwide, yet evidence from Vietnam remains limited.

Methods: Ten cases diagnosed with TTE admitted to the Hospital of Traumatology and Orthopedics, a tertiary orthopedic center in Ho Chi Minh City, were presented to demonstrate the effectiveness and rate of postoperative complications following our stepwise surgical procedures using the anconeus-triceps lateral flap approach.

Late-Onset Melorheostosis: A Case Report.

Melorheostosis is a rare benign bone pathology involving bone dysplasia and hyperostosis. The disease can be recognized with a characteristic radiographic feature of radiopaque lesions dripping along a long bone's diaphysis. The aberrant bone formation and development manifests mainly as pain, edema, and paresthesia of the affected limb.

Lung cancer has been the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in both developed and developing countries, with most primary lung cancers being non-small cell lung carcinomas. Treatment for this condition is sometimes individualized. With developments in modern treatment and phase III clinical trial results, epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) and ALK-TKI have proven thier superior effectivity in comparison with the standard platinum-based doublet and are commonly approved as first-line indications in previously untreated advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients with EGFR or ALK mutations.
