The fabrication of laser-induced graphene (LIG) electrodes by direct laser writing techniques has received considerable attention due to its simplicity, versatility, and cost-effectiveness for electrochemical applications in both sensing and energy storage. In general, a single-lasing irradiation process is used to prepare LIG electrodes. However, the intrinsic features of LIG can be further improved by taking advantage of additional lasing processes, even without any chemical treatments.

This study aimed to determine the prevalence and intensity of STH infections among primary school children in Meo Vac, Ha Giang: a poor mountainous province in Vietnam. A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted from October to November 2023, involving 400 participants.

We investigated the flow of water, hexane, and methanol through hydrophilic nanopores in silica colloidal crystals. Three silica sphere sizes were used to prepare the crystals: 150 ± 30, 500 ± 40, and 1500 ± 100 nm.

Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was performed with 294 PWDs managed in primary care. The Diabetes Management Self-Efficacy Scale (DMSES) and Summary of Diabetes Self-Care Activities (SDSCA) questionnaire measured patients' self-efficacy and self-care practice.
Here we demonstrate direct ink write (DIW) additive manufacturing of carbon nanotube (CNT)/phenolic composites with heat dissipation and excellent electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding capabilities without curing-induced deformation. Such polymer composites are valuable for protecting electronic devices from overheating and electromagnetic interference. CNTs were used as a multifunctional nanofiller to improve electrical and thermal conductivity, printability, stability during curing, and EMI shielding performance of CNT/phenolic composites.

NDV-HXP-S is an inactivated egg-based recombinant Newcastle disease virus vaccine expressing the spike protein of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). A public sector manufacturer in Vietnam assessed the immunogenicity of NDV-HXP-S (COVIVAC) relative to an authorized vaccine.

A total of 288 crossbred weaned piglets [♂ Duroc x ♀ (Yorkshire × Landrace)] with an average body weight (BW) of 6.89 ± 0.

In this article, we report on the complex crystal structure and physical properties of CrSnS, a -type magnetic semiconductor with a low energy band gap and low thermal conductivity. Importantly, we demonstrate that the high level of structural complexity is related to the coexistence of two sublattices: a host lattice, [CrSnS], characterized by a mixed Sn/Cr occupancy of its cationic sites, and a guest lattice characterized by [SnS] chains, containing Sn cations only, closely related to the ones encountered in the orthorhombic SnS compound.

Insufficient remnant liver volume is a common cause of postoperative liver failure. Many strategies have been applied to induce the remnant liver hypertrophy: Portal vein embolization (PVE), PVE combined with hepatic vein embolization (LVD), two staged liver resection, Associated liver partition with portal vein ligation for staged hepatectomy (ALPPS).

Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a major healthcare burden in the Western Pacific region; however, there is limited availability of genetic-associated data for type 2 diabetes in Southeast Asia, especially among the Kinh Vietnamese population. This lack of information exacerbates global healthcare disparities.

Method: A descriptive cross-sectional study was performed from August to October 2022 within five hospitals located in Hanoi, Vietnam. A total of 244 health professionals participated in the study.
Spontaneous thrombosis of an unruptured large or giant saccular intracranial aneurysm is a well-known phenomenon and can cause ischemic stroke (IS), which is a rare event. The possible pathogenic mechanisms of IS include distal embolic occlusion secondary to migration of the intra-aneurysmal thrombus, occlusion of the parent artery lumen caused by the retrograde extension of the aneurysmal thrombosis, external compression of the parent artery due to the increased aneurysmal mass effect. Among these, IS due to simultaneous thromboses of the aneurysm and its parent artery is extremely rare, with only a few cases reported in the literature.

Most previous studies focused on assessing the quality of life and health-state utility of the general population of breast cancer patients. The number of studies for HER2-positive breast cancer patients is negligible.

Methods: A cross-sectional study included 432 patients with primary hypertension (with an equal number of patients in each group: 144 in stage I, II, and III hypertension) and 144 healthy subjects as a control group. The Ocular Surface Disease Index (OSDI) and Schirmer I test without anesthetics were conducted on all 576 subjects.
Aims: Migraine is the most common disabling headache disorder and is characterized by recurrent throbbing head pain and symptoms of photophobia, phonophobia, nausea, and vomiting. Rimegepant 75 mg, an oral lyophilisate calcitonin gene-related peptide antagonist, is the first treatment approved for both the acute and preventative treatment of migraine, and the first acute therapy approved in over 20-years. The objective was to assess the cost-utility of rimegepant compared with best supportive care (BSC) in the UK, for the acute treatment of migraine in the adults with inadequate symptom relief after taking at least 2 triptans, or for whom triptans are contraindicated or not tolerated.

Ethanol is the most commonly encountered substance in forensic toxicology. Determining blood alcohol concentration (BAC) in autopsies accounts for the majority of work in forensic diagnosis. The most common method to assess BAC is the enzymatic oxidation method because of its low cost, easy operation, and high throughput.

An agarose-based gel pad reduces the variability of results, especially in conditions like uneven specimen staging, variable fluid dynamics, and Brownian motion that plague conventional wet mount setups. To correct these discrepancies during image acquisition, we analyzed three micropad preparation setups.

Objective: We aimed to assess the availability and affordability of health care resources for managing PA in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region, which includes low-middle-income countries.
Methods: We instituted a questionnaire-based survey to specialists managing PA, assessing the availability and affordability of investigations and treatment.
Objectives: This study aimed to determine (1) the needsof Vietnamese people with epilepsy (PWE) and their caregivers for self-management mobile health applications and (2) the self-management features expected to be included in an application.
Methods: The survey consisted of an anonymous self-administered questionnaire that was distributed to PWE and caregivers from the age of 18 in Vietnam through online platforms and onsite at Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital and University Medical Center, Ho Chi Minh City, from February 2022 to May 2022. The questionnaire assessed the participants' attitudes toward epilepsy self-management mobile applications, their willingness to use applications, and their expectations of the contents of an application.

Introduction: Circulating cell-free RNA (cfRNA) is a potential hallmark for early diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease (AD) as it construes the genetic expression level, giving insights into the pathological progress from the outset. Profiles of cfRNA in Caucasian AD patients have been investigated thoroughly, yet there was no report exploring cfRNAs in the ASEAN groups. This study examined the gap, expecting to support the development of point-of-care AD diagnosis.
