- Experiments investigated how stable and effective the urease inhibitor NBPT is when mixed with different phosphorus fertilizers and under various storage and field conditions.
- Results indicated that mixing UNBPT with P-sources diminished its effectiveness, with a 53.7% reduction in concentration noted when combined with phosphates.
- Additionally, urease activity and ammonia emissions were significantly reduced (by 50-62%) with different inhibition technologies in the field, highlighting the importance of proper storage time to maintain inhibitor efficiency (maximum of 168 hours).
Foliar analysis is very important for the nutritional management of crops and as a supplemental parameter for soil fertilizer recommendation. The elemental composition of plants is traditionally obtained by laboratory-based methods after acid digestion of ground and sieved leaf samples. This analysis is time-consuming and generates toxic waste.
