Prevalence of risk factors for primary postpartum hemorrhage in a university hospital.

Objectives: to identify the risk factors associated with primary postpartum hemorrhage in a university hospital.

Methods: a cross-sectional study was conducted with 277 postpartum women who received care during childbirth or cesarean section between June and August 2020. Data were collected using a pre-structured questionnaire administered 24 hours after delivery.

Factors associated with umbilical cord clamping in term newborns.

Objective: To identify factors associated with umbilical cord clamping in term newborns and to compare the recording of clamping time in the medical record with what was observed.

Method: Cross-sectional study, with 300 mothers-infants, in a university hospital. Clamping time and medical records were observed, and a structured questionnaire was applied to postpartum women for sociodemographic variables.

Factors associated with the maintenance of exclusive breastfeeding in the late postpartum.

Objective: To identify the factors associated with the maintenance of exclusive breastfeeding and to verify the justification for the introduction of other liquids in the late postpartum of mothers and children attended by a breastfeeding consultant.

Method: A non-comparative prospective cohort, conducted with 150 mothers and children. Data was collected at rooming-in 15 and 30 days after birth and analyzed by univariate analysis and multivariate regression.

Pairs seen by lactation consultants and cessation of exclusive breastfeeding in the first month.

Objective: To analyze the survival of exclusive breastfeeding and the factors associated with its cessation in the first month among pairs seen by a lactation consulting team.

Method: This is a prospective cohort conducted with mother-infant pairs treated at the Hospital de Clínicas of Porto Alegre.

Results: The sample consisted of 150 pairs.
