Myelomeningocele (a type of spina bifida) is the most common congenital condition that causes lifelong physical disability and requires multi-system surgical procedures. Therefore, it is paramount to reconstruct them using a stable and robust method that heals with minimal wound issues and produces maximum durability. We published a case series on reconstruction of myelomeningocele defects using keystone perforator island flap in the in 2016.

Intraneural perineurioma (IPN) is a rare benign neoplasm of the peripheral nerve sheath, most commonly affecting the sciatic nerve of adolescents or young adults. We present a rare case of perineurioma in a 67-year-old man with an infiltrative clinical presentation affecting his ulnar nerve. Complete excision required resection of the ulnar neurovascular bundle from mid-forearm to mid-palm with sural nerve and saphenous vein grafts used to reconstruct the ulnar nerve and artery, respectively.

Introduction: Although PSA (prostate specific antigen) based screening for prostate cancer (PCa) is controversial, an increasing number of men are undergoing Transrectal Ultrasound Guided prostate biopsy (TRUSPB) through primary care-based PSA testing and referral to hospitals. The aim of our study was to investigate presenting risk profiles of PCa over the last decade in a cohort of men in Ireland and to examine any change in the same over this time period.

Material And Methods: The hospital patient administration system was analysed for patients who underwent TRUSPB from January 2005 to December 2015.
