Background: Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome is characterized by a short PR interval (delta-wave), long QRS complex, and the appearance of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia. Patients with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome usually have one accessory pathway, whereas cases with multiple accessory pathways are rare. Persistent left superior vena cava is a vascular anomaly in which the vein drains into the right atrium through the coronary sinus at the junction of the left internal jugular and subclavian veins due to abnormal development of the left cardinal vein.

We aimed to investigate the difference in predictors of outcome after catheter ablation for AF among the patient categories divided by age and AF type.
Methods And Results: A total of 396 patients with AF (mean age 65.
In a ferromagnetic Weyl metal SrRuO, a large effective magnetic field exerted on a magnetic domain wall (DW) by current has been reported. We show that the ratio of to current density exhibits nonmonotonic temperature dependence and surpasses those of conventional spin-transfer torques and spin-orbit torques. This enhancement is described well by topological Hall torque (THT), which is exerted on a DW by Weyl electrons emerging around Weyl points when an electric field is applied across the DW.

However, the very low mean free path of the photoelectrons usually prevents a direct access to the properties of buried interfaces. The latter are of particular interest since they crucially influence the performance of spintronic devices like magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs).

October 2014
Background: Glycosylation is one of the most common post-translational modifications of eukaryotic proteins and is known to undergo dynamic changes in a wide range of biological processes. To date, however, the glycan expression profiles in endometriosis are largely unknown. The objective of the study was to identify the panel of glycans that were aberrantly expressed in endometriosis, a hormone-dependent disease.

The tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR) ratios at both 4.2 K and room temperature (RT) increased systematically with increasing α in Co(2)Mn(α)Si electrodes from Mn-deficient compositions (α < 1) up to a certain Mn-rich composition (α > 1), demonstrating high TMR ratios of 1135% at 4.

Objectives: An attempt was made to clarify the possibility that the dynamic narrowing of the pharynx evaluated by nasopharyngoscopy with BEPM, a forced inspiration through the nose with the mouth closed, might be a reliable clinical daytime predictor for identifying patients at risk of developing OSAS.
Subjects And Methods: Subjects were 57 patients complaining of snoring and sleepiness during daytime.
