[A case of dedifferentiated liposarcoma of the spermatic cord].

We report a case of dedifferentiated liposarcoma of the spermatic cord. A 79-year-old man was referred to our hospital with the chief complaint of a painless right scrotal swelling. A hard mass was palpable beside the soft mass which was suspected of lipoma or liposarcoma, and under this mass there was right testis.

[Small cell carcinoma of the urinary bladder treated with neo-adjuvant cp chemotherapy (CPT-11 and CDDP): a case report].

We report a cases of primary small cell carcinoma of the urinary bladder. A 68-year-old man was referred to our hospital because of asymptomatic gross hematuria. Cystoscopy showed a solid tumor on the dome of the urinary bladder.

[Two cases of uric acid stones unsuccessfully dissociated by oral chemolysis].

We report two patients with renal uric acid (UA) stones in whom chemolysis by oral administration of alkaline citrate and allopurinol was unsuccessful. The stone in a 58-year old female did not dissolve because her urinary pH remained low throughout the day after alkaline citrate administration. The stone in a 50-year old man did not dissolve because his urinary pH was 5.

[Clinical evaluation of 30 patients with interstitial cystitis complicated by fibromyalgia].

Purpose: Although interstitial cystitis (IC) complicated by fibromyalgia (FM) is yet unreported in Japan, we encountered patients with the complications almost as frequently as in the USA. We report the present status of such patients and the significance of this complication.

Patients And Methods: We evaluated the clinical findings of 30 patients with IC complicated by FM in the last four years.

Role of the urinary calcium in the growth of calcium stone.

We analyzed the relationship between the rate and clinical factors. The growth rate per year of the stone was measured by Nabeshima's method in 29 male patients with renal calcium stones including 7 pure calcium oxalate (CaOx) stones and 22 mixed calcium oxalate and calcium phosphate (CaOx-CaP) stones. The 24-hour urinary excretion of calcium, phosphate, uric acid and magnesium were assayed under an ambulatory free diet in 5 patients with CaOx stones and 15 with CaOx-CaP stones.

Adjuvant hydrodistension under epidural anesthesia for interstitial cystitis.

Background: Hydrodistension is the first choice of treatment for interstitial cystitis because it allows for diagnosis, bladder biopsy and treatment. However, the method and efficacy of hydrodistension are variable. We performed adjuvant hydrodistension and examined the efficacy and factors that influence prognosis.

[Two cases of interstitial cystitis complicated with fibromyalgia syndrome].

Two cases of interstitial cystitis complicated with fibromyalgia syndrome are reported. These diseases have some similar points regarding symptoms, treatment methods and neurotransmitters causatively involved. The symptoms are hardly recognized.
