Objective: Asthma is characterized by airway hyperresponsiveness due to chronic inflammation in the airways. One of the main cells involved in airway inflammation is eosinophils. In the current study, a bronchial provocation test (BPT) was performed to demonstrate airway hyperresponsiveness.

Background: Hereditary angioedema (HAE) is a rare autosomal dominant disorder caused by C1-inhibitor deficiency. It is characterized by recurrent attacks of cutaneous and upper respiratory tract swelling, and abdominal pain due to mucosal edema. Early detection and treatment prevent unnecessary interventions, improves quality of life, and prevents potentially fatal attacks.

There are no well-defined data that help predict the recurrence risk of urticaria after omalizumab cessation in elderly patients with chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU). We aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of omalizumab and to determine the possible predictive factors for recurrence after omalizumab cessation in the elderly with CSU. A total of 193 patients with CSU treated with omalizumab were included and divided into two groups according to age: group 1, ages 18-64 years ( = 127), and group 2, ages ≥ 65 years ( = 66).

Introduction: The role of autoimmunity and other preexisting risky conditions in hypersensitivity reactions (HSRs) to COVID-19 vaccines seems unclear. The aim of the study was to investigate the autoimmunity and preexisting risky conditions in HSRs to COVID-19 vaccines.

Methods: The patients aged ≥18 years with a history of HSR to CoronaVac or Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines within 24 h in 2 tertiary centers were assessed.

Purpose: We aimed to investigate the role of skin tests (ST) in the diagnosis of hypersensitivity reactions (HSRs) with platinum salts (PS) and taxane (TX) groups drugs and their reliability in patient management.

Materials And Method: Patients' data who developed immediate HSR with PS and TX were recorded and ST was performed. The gradual challenge was applied to all patients with ST negative and grade 1-2 with the suspect drug.

Background: Allergic rhinitis (AR) is characterized by chronic inflammation of the nasal mucosa. T-helper 2 lymphocytes, neutrophils, and eosinophils play an active role during the late-phase immune response after exposure to allergen.

Objective: We aimed to investigate the usefulness of inflammatory parameters of neutro-phil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), eosinophil-to-neutrophil ratio (ENR), and eosinophil-to- lymphocyte ratio (ELR) as markers for distinction between intermittent and persistent allergic rhinitis.

Background: The success of subcutaneous immunotherapy (SCIT) mostly depends on regular injections. Our aim was to investigate adherence to SCIT with aeroallergens during the COVID-19 pandemic and demonstrate clinical consequences of treatment disruptions in real life.

Methods: Visual analogue scale for quality of life (VAS-QoL), VAS for symptom scores (VAS-symptom), medication scores (MSs), and total symptom scores (TSS-6) were recorded during the pandemic in 327 adult allergic rhinitis and/or asthmatic patients receiving maintenance SCIT, and these scores were compared with the pre-pandemic data.

Background: Hereditary angioedema (HAE) attacks can be provoked with psychological factors. The aim of this study was to assess the effects of anxiety, depression and stress related to COVID-19 pandemic on disease activity of HAE patients during the quarantine period (QP) and the return to normal period (RTNP).

Methods: This study was conducted between March 2020 and September 2020 in four allergy centres.

Background: Acetylsalicylic acid/aspirin and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are widely used drugs that may cause hypersensitivity reactions in a substantial proportion of patients. Physicians ought to be aware of these situations.

Objective: We aimed to present the clinical characteristics and rates of tolerability to cyclooxygenase (COX)-2 inhibitor analgesics in patients who had admitted due to multiple cross-reactive type of NSAID hypersensitivity.
