New series of benzimidazole-1,2,4-triazole derivatives were designed, synthesized, and characterized using H-NMR, C-NMR, and HRMS. These compounds were evaluated for anticancer activity toward HTB-9 bladder and HT-29 colorectal cancer cell lines. Compounds 7h and 7ı were found to be the most active against HTB-9 cell line, with IC 6.

Since most tumor cells show cisplatin resistance, it is very important to discover new agents without adverse side effects. β-arbutin, a hydroquinone-β-D-glucopyranoside, has biological properties such as antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer, and is a phytochemical widely used as a skin whitener.

Methods: The research was carried out on three groups as small (30-50 g), medium (90-110 g) and large (185-215 g) body sizes at 8 ± 0.5 °C.
Since its initial report in the Philippines in 1981, ice-ice disease (IID) remains a substantial threat to the sustainability of eucheumatoid seaweed production. However, comprehensive investigations into the prevalence, intensity, and potential relationships with physicochemical and meteorological parameters are limited, particularly in open-sea farms. This is the first study to conduct a 12-month monitoring of IID prevalence and intensity in eucheumatoid seaweed farms in Tawi-Tawi, Philippines.

Fifteen professional male handball players participating in 1 League matches took part in the study. The results showed that isometric shoulder flexion and extension strength significantly predicted stable throwing velocity (r=between 0.

Background: This study aimed to ascertain the influence of somatotype structures on athletic performance among professional athletes.
Methods: Twenty-eight professional athletes, comprising 14 handball players and 14 volleyball players, were enlisted as participants for this study. As per the methodology, evaluations encompassing explosive power, strength, flexibility, horizontal jump, agility, sprint, and hand-foot reaction tests were conducted.
The impact of free time management and leisure satisfaction on quality of life is distinct, however, the role of satisfaction in enhancing quality of life through free time management remains uncertain. Hence, the objective of this research is to explore how leisure satisfaction acts as a mediator between free time management and the levels of quality of life among university students. Additionally, this study aims to analyse these concepts in relation to gender, age and the number of days of activity participation.

Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the PK and PK/PD targets of DO after 20 mg/kg intravascular (IV), intramuscular (IM) and oral (OR) gavage administration in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss).
Methods: Plasma samples were collected at specific time points and subsequently analysed by HPLC-ultraviolet.
This study examines the potential of herniarin from tarragon, as an agent with multifaceted effects on bladder cancer cells and investigates herniarin's impact on cell viability, migration, cell cycle regulation, apoptosis induction, and Erk signaling pathways in bladder cancer cell lines, including RT-112 (grade 1, non-invasive), HTB9 (grade 2, invasive), and HT1376 (grade 3, invasive), through comprehensive in vitro experiments. The compound causes cell cycle arrest at distinct phases in different cell lines: G1/S arrest in RT112 cells, G2/M arrest in HTB9 cells, and S phase arrest in HT1376 cells. Furthermore, herniarin induces caspase-mediated apoptosis in various cell lines and simultaneously modulates protein levels of apoptotic and anti-apoptotic proteins, indicating its potential as a therapeutic agent.

The technique included harvesting a bone plug from the lateral femoral neck, core decompression, and bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC) application; the procedure was completed by press-fit insertion of the autologous bone plug in the debrided area. Autologous bone plug-sliding with core decompression and bone marrow concentrate aspirate application provides good clinical outcomes in the management of ONFH.

Cells require micronutrients for numerous basic functions. Among these, iron, copper, and selenium are particularly critical for redox metabolism, and their importance is heightened during oncogene-driven perturbations in cancer. In this review, which particularly focuses on iron, we describe how these micronutrients are carefully chaperoned about the body and made available to tissues, a process that is designed to limit the toxicity of free iron and copper or by-products of selenium metabolism.

However, how mitochondria sense the abundance of metabolites and regulate metabolic homeostasis is not well understood. In this work, we focused on glutathione (GSH), a critical redox metabolite in mitochondria, and identified a feedback mechanism that controls its abundance through the mitochondrial GSH transporter, SLC25A39.
