Situs inversus totalis(SIT)is a rare congenital condition that causes complete transposition of thoracic and abdominal viscera. Due to associated anatomical abnormalities and low frequency, surgery for affected patients is considered to be difficult. A 72-year-old man was referred to our hospital with a chief complaint of narrow stools.

Background: Due to its rarity, information on pulmonary metastasectomy for pulmonary metastasis from ovarian cancer is limited.
Methods: Cases of pulmonary metastasectomy for ovarian cancer were collected in a multi-institutional setting and the outcomes were analyzed.
Results: Among 1508 cases in which pulmonary resection was performed to treat pulmonary metastasis from tumors of various organs, 6 cases (0.
Background: Information on pulmonary metastasectomy (PM) for uterine malignancies in the current era is limited. In the present study, we analyzed the clinical course and results of PM for uterine malignancies in the era of modern imaging diagnostics to clarify the role of PM in the current era in a multi-institutional setting.
Methods: Fifty-seven patients who underwent PM for uterine malignancies between 2006 and 2015 were retrospectively reviewed.
Intrahepatic bile duct dilatation was detected in a 63-year-old man based on abdominal ultrasonography. The computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging scans showed an intrahepatic cystic lesion in the hilar bile duct that led to intrahepatic bile duct dilatation. As a result, intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile duct(IPNB)was suspected.

The aims of this study were to assess the clinical features, outcomes, and main cause of death after lung cancer surgery in patients undergoing HD and to evaluate the risk factors for postoperative complications.
Methods: The study identified 39 patients undergoing HD who had lung cancer surgery in 9 institutions under the Thoracic Surgery Study Group of Osaka University in Japan between 2007 and 2016.
A 65-year-old woman who had diabetes mellitus was referred to the Department of Diabetes Internal Medicine of our hospital in June 201X due to disease progression. Chest radiography revealed an abnormal shadow, and computed tomography( CT)showed a 2 cm nodular shadow in the right S10. Lung cancer was suspected because of increased serum progastrin- releasing peptide(ProGRP)level and smoking history.

This multi-institutional retrospective study investigated the outcomes of upfront surgery in patients with clinical skip N2 disease (N2 disease without N1 disease) and a tumor in the right upper lobe or left upper segment based on results of modern radiological examinations, including positron emission tomography (PET).
Methods: We identified 143 patients with cN2 disease who underwent upfront surgery in 12 institutions under the Thoracic Surgery Study Group of Osaka University between January 2006 and December 2013.
A 70-year-old man was referred to our hospital and admitted after abdominal computed tomography(CT)examination revealed a tumor in the retroperitoneum. The specific blood test findings were poor, and surveillance CT demonstrated a wellcircumscribed, enhanced mass measuring 40mm with calcification behind the horizontal portion of the duodenum. The tumor presented with a slightly high signal in low signal, T2 in T1, and it showed a diffusion decrease in DWI; the simple abdominal MRIrevealed heterogeneous accumulation of SUVmax 3.
