There is paucity of data in the available medical literature regarding the parameters of the volumetric perfusion of pancreas grafts. From 5 February 2016 to 23 December 2021, we performed perfusion computed tomography in 41 patients at different times after simultaneous pancreas and kidney transplantation. The study group consisted of 18 men (44%) and 23 women (56%) with a long history of type 1 diabetes mellitus complicated by terminal chronic renal failure.

Aim: To study myocardial perfusion in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) with and without type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) using volumetric computed tomography (VCT) of the heart with a pharmacological test with adenosine triphosphate (ATP).

The application of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) have helped in different modalities for prostate cancer management, from early detection to treatment planning and follow-up, the evolution of MRI techniques allows to obtain not only anatomical but also functional information to take advantage of prostate cancer detection and staging while supplying prognostic and predictive biomarkers. This review presents conventional and advanced MRI techniques (known as multiparametric MRI) that allow functional and quantitative assessment of the normal prostate gland and its correlation with prostate cancer. Additional topics include the epidemiology of prostate cancer following the Global Burden Diseases Cancer Collaboration 2018, the clinical anatomy of the prostate gland, and the lower urinary tract; we also mention some aspects of the diagnosis performance in ultrasound.

Aim      To create a three-dimensional mathematical model of coronary flow in patients with ischemic heart disease based on findings of computed tomography angiography (CTA) with subsequent calculation of the fractional flow reserve (FFRCTA) and comparison of estimated FFRCTA with FFR reference values measured by coronary angiography (CAG).Material and methods  The study included 10 patients with borderline stenosis (50-75 %) as determined by CTA performed with a 640‑slice CT-scanner. The emergence of more effective methods for treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) has called for more reliable methods of diagnostics, monitoring, and evaluating responses to the treatment. More reports have become available about the relevance of using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for examination of patients with PAH. This review provides data on the significance of MRI for noninvasive evaluation of the heart structure and function in patients with PAH, as well as for visualization and evaluation of the remodeling of the pulmonary circulation.

Imaging of the postoperative spine requires the identification of several critical points by the radiologist to be written in the medical report: condition of the underlying cortical and cancellous bone, intervertebral disc, and musculoskeletal tissues; location and integrity of surgical implants; evaluation of the success of decompression procedures; delineation of fusion status; and identification of complications. This article presents a pictorial narrative review of the most common findings observed in and postoperative spines. Complications in the spine were grouped in (hematomas, pseudomeningocele, and postoperative spine infection) and findings (arachnoiditis, radiculitis, recurrent disc herniation, spinal stenosis, and textiloma).

Risk stratification among patients with aortic stenosis remains inadequate, and there is a clinical need for the correct identification of high-risk patients who would benefit from aortic valve intervention before developing left ventricular decompensation. Since the publication of the results of the PARTNER study, transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) has become the method of choice for aortic valve stenosis in inoperable patients and is a real alternative to conventional surgical replacement of the aortic valve in high-risk patients. In planning TAVI and postoperative monitoring of a patient from imaging methods, the leading role is played by echocardiography and multispiral computed tomography.
