Patient was on treatment for the CML but never had hematological remission. Patient saw an ophthalmologist who told her that she has bilateral optic disc swelling and advised her to get an MRI of the brain.

Stroke subtypes have been reported to differ by race and ethnic subgroups and have not been adequately explained. We aim to evaluate if the prevalence of vascular risk factors accounts for differences observed in stroke subtypes by race/ethnicity. Patients with acute stroke were prospectively enrolled in the Miami Stroke Registry.
