Syringomatous carcinoma (SC) has typically been observed in middle-aged and older patients. We report a case of SC mimicking an epidermoid cyst in a 23-year-old Asian man. Histopathologic examination results showed a dermal neoplasm consisting of nests of basaloid cells, focal areas of ductal differentiation, moderate dermal fibrosis, and moderate nuclear atypia consistent with a diagnosis of SC.

Background: Proliferating trichilemmal tumor is an uncommon tumor of the follicular isthmus of the hair follicle. It usually presents as a solitary nodule on the scalp of older white women. Although these lesions typically behave in a benign fashion, recurrences and metastasis after local excision have been reported.

Background: The Koebner phenomenon, also known as the isomorphic response, is the development of preexisting skin disease following trauma to uninvolved skin. Various cutaneous disorders have been described to arise at surgical wounds and scars. Moreover, dermatologic procedures, such as cold-steel and laser surgery, can evoke koebnerization.
